My grandfather and grandmother bought McGee and Barter Island over 100 years ago. I doubt even they realized how important these islands would be in keeping our extended family so close. They have served as a reunion location year after year and have given us the chance to see new generations growing up and forming bonds the way previous generations have. The islands truly are a special place for a family gathering.
