My husband, Chuck, and I have lived in the Hocking Hills for over 20 years. I am from Ohio, he is from Wisconsin, and we met in the Hocking Hills! We built our little homestead, raising chickens, dairy goats, honey bees, and organic vegetables. Being "transplants" ourselves, we recognized how precious this part of Ohio is, and in 2005 decided to become involved in the lodging business and provide others with the opportunity to visit the Hocking Hills. Chuck is a builder by trade, and designed and built the cottage by hand with one other helper. His craftsmanship and attention to detail are often mentioned in the journal our guests leave notes in. We even do all the cleaning ourselves, since we are very particular! Our goal is to provide a relaxed, beautiful setting for guests to return to after exploring the forests, caves, creeks, waterfalls and natural rock formations that define this part of Ohio.
