Your hosts, Heather and Doug J., are excited to share their home and love of alaska with you. Doug is the fourth generation of his family to live in Alaska. Doug's family came to this great land in 1898 to mine gold in Nome. Heather, on the other hand, came from the tropics. A third generation kama'aina (local) from the Big Island of Hawaii, Heather came to Alaska in 1976 and immediately fell in love with the land and its people. Together they share a love of travel and adventure and have an appreciation for what travelers need.
