I have been living in Montalto castle with my family since 1970 but the castle was in my husband's family already in the 16th century.

I am assisted by CHIARA, a generous and enthusiastic young woman who looks after all our guests needs and is very knowledgeable about local tourist opportunities.

The castle estate is a certified organic farm, producing olive oil, vegetables, eggs and field crops such as wheat or sunflowers, and there are 300 acres of woodlands.

In summer and at Christmas time we are frequently joined by my grown children and grandchildren, while one daughter, Anna, lives nearby and appears often.

And of course, as in all self-respecting castles, there is a ghost: la Dama Blu (the Blue Lady) might deign to visit you – if you believe in her!
