Born in Virginia but grew up primarily in the Washington DC area. Attended the University of Maryland undergrad and American University for grad school. Three kids and wife of almost 30 years. Hobbies are old Land Rovers, travel off the beaten path when possible and cycling a few mornings a week, year round if possible.
