Originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, we purchased a house, two dependances and a barn - which later became Gite Chouette - in 1999 after falling in love with the property. We moved to France in December 2013 and live in the "main house" which is a few yards from the barn/Gite Chouette, so we are on hand for advice/assistance if required and will be present for key handover etc. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for use by guests each week, as are adult bathrobes and slippers if required. Also provided is a "welcome pack" to start our guests off, containing useful items like bottled water (although the tap water is delicious!), bread, milk, butter, potatoes, eggs etc. and a bottle of wine to relax! Gite Chouette has modern convenience with charm and style, retaining original slate wall in the lounge area. Meals may be made to order by prior arrangement so the cook may have a day off!
