We have never lived anywhere that have felt more comfortable than upper Padre Island. Not only are we minutes away from the beach, but also a few miles away from the shrimpers that bring fresh seafood to the docks of Corpus Christi. It is the closest to the idea of Jimmy Buffets "Margaritaville" since Key West went commercial. It is also known as the "Cowboy Coast", but don't let that deter you, you don't have to be a cowboy to enjoy the horseback riding on the beach or roping in some big, delischous fish from the gulf. It is a most excellent time. I will come back here until I can't!!!
