The nearest airports are Montpellier and Nimes which are both 50km from the chateau. The nearest town is Ganges (5 km) and the village of St Laurent le Minier is within walking distance.
Fresh bread and croissants can be picked up from the local village within walking distance. There is also a lovely restaurant that is very reasonably priced. A fishing permit can be obtained from the nearby town of Ganges, which also holds a twice-weekly market. The local tennis court is 400m from the property.
The south coast is only 50km away with its splendid beaches and picturesque villages including Sommieres, with its Saturday morning market, Les Matelles, les Saintes-Maries de la Mer, Saint-Martin, Uzes, Aigues Mortes, Anduze, Saint Guilhem le Désert and endless other places of interest! For the avid explorers who can face leaving the idyllic surroundings of the property for a day trip, there are numerous nearby festivals, villages, sporting events and cultural attractions. Carcassonne, Montpellier, Le Pont du Gard and Nimes are all short drives away. Tasting tours to local vineyards can be arranged, such as the Pic St. Loup or Gres de Montpellier. The region is also renowned for its delectable truffles. 30km away is a golf course and there are almost daily traditional markets to explore.
Good cities to visit for a day are Nimes, Besiers and Avignon. During the ski season Mont Igual attracts plenty of snow sports enthusiasts.
