'Water's Edge is situated right on the harbourside in the sleepy fishing village of Garlieston in the Galloway Machars. With sea views from most windows and coastal walks starting right from the front door, this is the ideal away-from-it all break.
Garlieston village has 2 small shops and a pub (1/4 mile from property), plus tennis courts and children's play area. Other good eating places in nearby Wigtown and Isle of Whithorn.
The surrounding area enjoys unrivalled unspoilt countryside, beautiful coastline with near-deserted beaches, rich in wildlife and historic interest.
Wigtown (National Booktown) is 10 miles away, with the Galloway Hills and Forest Park just 18 miles drive. Within easy reach of Scotland's Garden Route, and the Mull of Galloway (southernmost point in Scotland). Sea and river fishing, and golfing nearby.
