“A relaxing haven away from the madness of the coast” We travellrd to Gaucin as an extended family and were delighted when we discovered Casa Msaica nd its Casita (set in the gardens)this worked very well for us as we all had our own space if we needed it but still enjoyed all the bceautiful aspects of both properties as a family. Both the Casa and Casita are stunninng with a strong moorish feel,they are full of amazing hand made mosaics ,wall hangings, beautiful lamps, the opposite to the usual minimal of rental properties ,they are full of the owners own personal objects. The gardens are full of exotic plants and water features and several shady sitting areas . The pool is large with comfy sun loungers , it can be lit up at night (ideal for that midnight swim on hot nights) Gaucin is a pretty mountain village with amazing views it has a surprising number of restaurants and tapas bars.(all within walking distance of Casa Mosaica) the food was very good and the owners most welcoming. There is a good supermarket near to the Casa and several other food outlets in the village. ialtogether a wonderful relaxing holiday , we will return !

“The most amazing hollyday!!” we are a couple eith a small baby, and found our paradise of calmness and peace there. The house is situated only 5 to 10 minutes from the village, and we took nice walks from it to the village with the babies back pack, ending them with a nice breakfast at the local bars. We found our way round very quickly and ate in several of the local restaurants, from wich I can recomend the 2 small restaurants next to the gas station. The supermarket are well supplied, althoug the big one is best, we visited Ronda and did a trip to the coast, but the rest of the time we enjoyed the swimming pool that was lovely and warm, and sunbathed as much as we could. We can highly recommend this beautiful house, and the owner Miren, She was atentive and answered all our questions very quickly. We eill surely be back next year!!

Magical Moorish-style apartment in Gaucin village with pool & exotic garden.
A stunning property perched high in the hills of andulusia.

We travelled to Spain to a small white pueblo called Gaucin; far up into the hills of andalusia, the real Spain. Gaucin has amazing views of Gibraltar and Morocco. We booked Casa Mosaica for 1 week and once we arrived we wished we booked for longer. Where do I start, this property is spotless and absolutely stunning with a Moorish feel, very private and peaceful. The scented garden is full of exotic plants, handmade mosaics and water features. Emma the owner should be so proud of what she has designed and accomplished. This property has everything you could ask for from design to comfy beds, beautiful outdoor space plus a good sized swimming pool which my son and daughter loved! The property is in an excellent location, but would recommend a car. Casa Mosaica is in easy walking distance to several nice restaurants, and other local amenities eg: pharamcy, bank, local shops. I would recommend to book the high end restaurants in advance in august, the local tapas' bars are also very good; especially "El Zoro". The supermarcardos are a real bonus situated across the road. The delicatessen "Bonnisim" is really handy and very good with friendly staff. The locals are an absolute delight and very friendly. Last of all, Emma the owner was a great host and made us feel so welcome in her beautiful home. Posada La Romana
A simply sensational property

From the first contact with Miren Valle, the owner, to our arrival in Spain she was so friendly, helpful and prompt in replying to my queries. La Posada Romana is simply stunning. The first sight as you enter the driveway will take your breath away. We were escorted to the Villa by Diego the gardener/handyman who was so helpful and kind. The entire property is finished & furnished to the highest of standards. We were a party of 11, ranging from 18yrs to 84, who all enjoyed our stay equally. A special holiday at a special location. This was our 3rd stay in the Gaucin area, the most stunning of Pueblo Blancos in andalucía. Despite our dire lack of ability in Spanish, the villagers were all welcoming and helpful. I would recommend a 4x4 vehicle to negotiate the track from Gaucin to the Villa, whilst the driveway at La Posada Romana is perfect, the track leading to it does get rough in places, but don't let that put you off, it's a minor inconvenience more than adequately compensated when you reach this magical Villa.
