Private 2-story Guest House has Old World charm (sleeps 3 couples very comfortably) in Vermont's NEK. Beautiful, charming, peaceful. A healing & fun place to let go, unwind, de-stress and relax. The LARGE picture window in the Upstairs Great Room looks out over our West pasture onto changing mountain views, and you can watch the antics of our animals -- you may catch sight of a moose or deer. Additional Location Information

There are many lakes & ponds & lakes in the area, as well as hiking, fishing, and world-class mountain biking events (Kingdom Trails) nearby. Burke Mountain & Craftsbury have many special events/activities & great eateries/Farmer's Markets/concerts, etc.

The Guest House is situated on a 10+-acre farm with a fenced-in organic vegetable garden for our guests during the warm months. This healing place is a wonderful place to slow down, unwind, de-stress, have fun and spend time indoors, or out in nature. The House looks out over the West Pasture and vegetable gardens (the farm areas [separate from the Guest House Organic Vegetable Garden] & pastures are private property -- no access permitted). The LARGE Picture Window in the upstairs Great Room faces West, where you have beautiful mountain views and can watch the antics of our animals. In early Spring you can hop over to NH to watch -- or participate in -- the Tuckerman's Ravine "skiing" spectacle -- with many in their T-shirts.
In mid-Spring you can hear the woodland creek, bull frogs, and the beautiful tinkling music of the spring peepers, then around June 10th the Luna Moths (& other Saturnid moths) come at night (11 pm on) for about a month, followed by fireflies in July. Be sure to check dates of meteor showers -- we have beautiful sky views on clear nights for star gazing.

Around the corner is a wonderful near-private natural preserve with 2+ ponds (2nd one often has Loons in summer and occ. beaver), a scenic outlook (rugged climb to get to), swimming, hiking, exploring, and fishing. A mile away is the world-famous Bread & Puppet theater with indoor & outdoor performances and music concerts in the summer. Burke Mtn. has lots of summertime events (Fireworks, events & barbecue on the 4th of July), Circus Smirkus has performances in E. Burke & Hardwick, Kingdom Trails has world-class biking events and a gazillion miles of groomed trails. Craftsbury has concerts on the Common, and a Farmer's Market. St. Johnsbury, Newport and the Canadian border are about a half-hour away. There is a wide-variety of dining choices, Farmer's Markets and activities to choose from. Be sure to visit Dog Mountain/the Dog Chapel/the Stephen Huneck Gallery in St. Johnsbury if you love dogs -- nice hiking trails, scenic lookout, woodland walks, a great Gallery, and dog-themed events.

The Canadian border is a little over a half-hour north. Be sure to visit Newport, Lake Memphremagog, and continue across the border to the old-world Canadian village of Magog (or go a little further to Sherbrooke & Quebec City) -- all are great places to visit.
