Built in 1842 the Historic 6 bedroom Mill House Cottage is one of our bigger cottages at the Port Albert Inn and Cottages. This cottage is perfect for large groups. Sleeps 17 people. Weekly or nightly rentals. All bedding, linens, towels, and soaps are provide. All camp fire wood is provided. Pets welcome. Right next to the waterfalls and Conservation Area. Large, private yard with fire pit, and gas fire place. Just an 6 to 8 minute walk to the sandy, public beach and a 12 minute drive to Goderich, Ontario. Port Albert General Store is just steps away and sells pizza, sub sandwiches, burgers and French fries, breakfasts, ice cream, gas, produce, and convenience items. 2 Satellite TV's, DVD and wireless internet.
The Mill House has 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. It has full kitchen facilities, gas cook top, 2 fridges, covered patio, deck, sunroom, and fire pit, and fire place.. Large BBQ. Two fridges, chest freezer and a fully equiped kitchen. Steps to the Port Albert Inn, The General Store and the outdoor walk-in hot tub at the Port Albert Inn.
We always speak with guests that have booked online before finalizing bookings. This ensures that guests have booked accommodations which will suit the needs of their group. We do charge a security deposit for groups that are not multi generational. When you arrive please check in at the Port Albert Inn and we will direct you to your cottage. We may pop by to see if there is anything you need during your stay.
When a cottage is booked it is a sale and payment is required. If for any reason you decide that you will not be using the room or cottage call us as soon as possible and we will do your best to resell the room or cottage on your behalf and forward the funds to you.
Check in is at 4 pm. Check out is at 11 am. We will do our best to accommodate a request for a later checkout time.

At the Port Albert Inn and Cottages we offer a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. To ensure the peace for residents and visitors to Port Albert area all guests are required to act in a quiet, respectful manner, and comply with all rules.
Rules for Cottage Guests
Parking is only allowed in the designated parking area's.
Noisy behavior that can potentially bother others is not permitted. Yelling, fireworks and any form of amplified music such as a stereo is prohibited.
Windows and doors must be kept closed when the heat is on in the cottage.
Cottage grounds must be kept free of litter at all times.
All guests must agree to maintain a friendly, safe, respectful atmosphere, at all times. Please take care of the cottage and grounds as guests agree to leave the cottage as it was upon their arrival and are responsible for paying for the cost of any damages to the cottage that is beyond regular wear. Groups that do not comply with the rules will be asked to leave the property. We collect a returnable security deposit from groups that are not multi generational.

Our 2,3,4,6, and 8 bedroom cottages are fully serviced and from 2 to 8 minutes walk from our sandy beach in the quiet Nine Mile River Valley. Most are just steps to the waterfalls, the General Store and the Port Albert Inn. Our cottages are winterized and have full kitchen facilities and patios with fire-pit and ample parking. Port Albert has great fishing and a sandy public beach. We invite all guests to relax in our large out-door hot tub or lounge in front of the fire at the Inn. The General Store provides all necessities during your stay such as gas, bait, ice cream, pizza, sandwiches, and fresh produce.

Beaches, parks, biking and hiking trails, museums, theater, festivals, shopping, fishing, watersports, snowmobiling, hunting, cross-country skiing, horse-back riding, fairs, many historic sites, a casino, motor sports, golf courses, art galleries, and much more!
