Additional Location Information

Golfo Aranci is a small fishing village with about 2,200 inhabitants located in Sardinia, in the province of Olbia-Tempio.
Located near the Emerald Coast, Golfo Aranci is a major center of the historic region of the Gallura.
The economy is based primarily on tourism and on port activity, as the village is the main hub for ferries from Italy.
The origins of Golfo Aranci are very old, even if the current urban center developed in mid-nineteenth century, when as a small fishing village was transformed into an efficient port by the Savoia family.
The name of the village derives, according to legend, by a ship full of oranges which was wrecked on these shores, although some historians believe that it comes from the dialect word ranci (crabs). Amongst the various activities: dozens of beaches to choose from, excursions to the Costa Smeralda and the Island of La Maddalena by boat, small typical fish menu restaurants and a soft nightlife.
