“A wonderful surprise for a last minute find!” We stayed at Casa agua Luna with our family after my husband had a surfing accident and we had to rush to the city. Not wanting to stay in Managua, we looked around for places in Granada. We had a large group, and this house slept all of us. The location is great, walking distance to everything, but quiet and off the main square for mellow evenings. There is a garage for your truck, internet, tv, and a full kitchen, so we had everything we needed. Only thing that some of the guys mentioned is that the living room area is pretty closed in and not a/c, so it was pretty hot to watch tv while relaxing...not necessarily a bad thing as it tended to keep more conversation going in other areas of the home! All in all, a wonderful house, and we would recommend it to anyone.

“Great location, great layout” I recently stayed in Casa Yalula. We were a party of two families, 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Casa Yalula is located one and a half blocks from the central park of Granada in the historic district of town. It is close to everything: attractions, restaurants, landmarks, shopping. As for the layout of the house one can not help but complement the owners because in the recent remodelling done to the property; they designed the house in such a way that you always feel invited to spend all your time in the social area of the house (kitchen / family area) sharing your day's events and experiences, eating and drinking with friends and family. The house was also designed in such a way that it keeps street noise (cars, horse-drawn carriages) to a minimum, which is no small feat. The bedrooms are in the back of the house, so you can sleep with zero noise. The house has been well appointed in all its rooms; furniture is simple, pretty and functional, and all rooms are well lit. They even manage to fit a 25 meter, one lane pool into the house, which was a great plus. Also, the folks from Granada Property Services (GPS) were most helpful and accomodating, and the daily cleaning service was timely and efficient.

The house by far exceeded our expectations. I was clean, spacious, restful and lovely. We were a group of 10 traveling during our Christmas break and this was our last stop before returning home. The surrounding area was perfect with the main street right out your door, yet once inside the house it felt miles away. The pool was great for the hot afternoons. Great location, Friendly, Quiet escape

We came for a week with our three boys (4,6,10) and love it. Household help was friendly and, indeed, helpful. Pool and secret garden were a real hit w the kids. They'd splash in the water while we made dinner and get right back in when we were done. And it was an adventure to go up into the garden and explore. Beds were comfortable, rooms adequately furnished with storage for clothes etc. It was hot when we were there, but the fans helped move the air, the pool was good for a dip, and the a/c in bedrooms worked great at night. Words Can Not Describe!

Casa agua Luna is a fantastic home in Granada,Nicaragua!... The gardens , the kitchen , the bedrooms , and the unbelievable pool! We enjoyed every moment in this luxury home , especially our morning coffee , watching the sun come up over the pool. We used the pool every day and especially loved to sit in the living room area , by the pool. The staff-housekeeper , gardener , pool boy- were all excellent. The rental agency , GPS , was very attentive and helpful. The house is a comfortable walking distance from the center.Our only regret was that we could not stay longer!!! … see more

As good as it gets!

The worst thing about condo/hotel Xalteva is that at some point you have to leave! No matter what you have read, heard or pictures you have seen, it's actually better than that. I have never encountered a more friendly, courteous or efficient staff anywhere. Upon arrival you will notice that it has everything you need; a corkscrew and blender! Sure it has every cooking and eating item you'll need but you are surrounded by great inexpensive restaurants, why cook? You can even get local food cooked on site for a minimal fee. Fresh fruit and coffee by the pool on mornings gives you a chance to meet with some of the other guests. The month we were there we met some truly wonderful folks from all over; this is a very social place but if you want to be alone, no problem. It is about six blocks from the local park area, where many of the great restaurants are and entertainment takes place. Walking is flat, safe and easy but keep an eye out for big holes and tripping hazards, you have been warned! If you come back late, stay on the main streets and when you arrive back at the condo, ring the bell and the night guard will be there in seconds. There is a safe in each room but we never felt the need to use it! Remember, you are in Nicaragua and Spanish is the native language so learn a few basic words and phrases and life will be easier. It's better to learn, where is the bathroom please, before you actually need to. Need anything from an English book to read, taxi, or any type of tour; just go to the front desk and they will make it happen! Casa Yalula - A Colonial Jewel of Granada
big and noisy

We recieved great service. The office staf was very helpful and the staf in the house was very good and friendly.Someone waited for us to arrive at 11.30 PM, handed us the keys, showed us around and left us a cell phone and their card in case we needed anything. There was plenty of fruit, juice and milk, bread and cereal as well as coffee for breakfast. We had expected our friends and /or children to join us; this did not happen and the house was too big for us. I loved the huge pool around which the house was built. The part we did not like, was the large room in front with the television/ DVD player.The street outside was so noisy- it is next to a bar- that it was hard to understand the TV talk. There was no comfortable chair and the beds, doubling as coutches were hard for us to get up from. I was glad I had my I Pad to read on becausse at night none of the lights were bright enough to read by.In a house where the energy use is so high,don't you change the light bulbs to Leds? The kitchen was great and very well equipped. My dream: an electric oven and a gas stove! Only problem was that the wind blew the gas sideways and inefficient at times.
