Beautiful restored home in Granada's historic area

Comfortable but quirky traditional house in the historic centre of Granada, the Albayzín. Sleeps six (in two bedrooms, as well using a sofa bed). Ideal for self-catering holidays - superb views of the Alhambra from terrace.

Lovingly renovated, this small 3-story home is well furnished and fully equipped to offer a good standard of accommodation. Additional Location Information

The Albaicyn is the medieval heart of Granada and still boasts the winding cobbled lanes and leafy enclosed courtyards or carmens that have made it famous. It a perfect place to wander and happen upon magnificent gothic churches or admire the eclectic architecture that makes the place so charming. With so much to see it is no surprise that it is well supplied with small tea houses, cafes and bars in which to sit and watch the world pass by. It also has a wonderful market street which harkens to its Moorish past, filled with shops selling souvenirs, mint tea and curios. You don't have to buy anything to soak up the atmosphere. Five minutes walk from the house is the Plaza Nueva which serves as the central square for the tourist part of town and it too is filled with restaurants and cafes. Buses leave from here to tour the Alhambra and take you to the top of the Albaicyn. It is an easy walk also down to the Dauro river with its ancient arched bridges crossing to allow you to explore the bank on the other side. All within minutes of the house itself.
