Monachil village where this property is situated is truly a Spanish village. The villa is ideally located within a couple of minutes walk from the local shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, large play parks, banks, a post office, pharmacy, DIY shop, tobacco shop, bike rental and bus stop. There is an hourly bus service connecting Granada city center with Monachil taking only 25 minutes.

Granada has always been known in Spain for the possibility of skiing in the morning and sunbathing in the afternoon and since the stunning new highway connecting Granada and Motril opened in 2009 this has taken on a whole new meaning. With the ski resort a 30 minute drive from the village and sub tropical beach resorts such as Salobreña and Playa Granada only 45 minutes, this really is an option on a sunny January day.

Granada is probably the province of Andalucia with the widest choice for the visitor and has an endless list of places to visit. Sierra Nevada National Park with the highest mountain range in Spain providing skiing in winter as well as outstanding nature reserves for all kinds of rural pursuits.
