Outside deck was perfect place to relax, great lounge furniture, plenty of space, perfect size pool for kids, large beach area, sea weed visible but not an issue its the ocean there's always going to be some, but could walk out with kids for a long ways to the break. the house large rooms so you could make noise and still sleep. our favorite places were close by, kaibo, rum point 5 min. drive. enjoyed biolum tour at night kayak. plenty of towels, spices, 2nd refrig for beverages, pots, pans, store about 10 min to buy little stuff needed. would rent from again!

Right from the start, our experience was great with this house. The folks at Grand Cayman Villa Rentals are excellent at responding to enquiries, and overall are very professional and prompt.
They bought 2 life preservers as soon as we asked if they had any, and they bought a new gas grill because the old one had been taken away. Very good service.
The house is beautiful, and comfortably appointed. The layout is great for multiple people. We had a toddler and an infant along with two grandmothers and a brother, and everyone had their own space and rooms. There were plenty of towels. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size--we never felt cramped. The outdoor furniture is comfortable. It was wonderful to have the pool and the ocean right outside the house. The beach was fine for our toddler to play on, with no strong waves and enough sand to walk around and play. Water shoes helped.
Many reviews have said how great the snorkeling is right outside the house and I would say it was mediocre at best. I travel around the carribean snorkeling and I would rate this about a 2 or 3 out of 10 for snorkeling. I explored a large area of the reef in both directions from the house. Nearby, at Cayman Kai and Rum Point public Beaches, the snorkeling is much better, with some very healthy coral and fish life (maybe a 7 out of 10). In front of the house, there are fish in the water, but there is almost no healthy coral. I was very disappointed in the quality of the snorkeling right in front of the house, and that was one of the major reasons we chose this house.
We loved the location, being close to Rum Point with a few good restaurants nearby, and away from any crowds. We cooked almost every meal at home, which saved money and was very convenient with two little ones.
We dove on the east end (20 minutes away)and enjoyed it very much--excellent reef and fish.

Coral Kai is a nice house, but not kid friendly. The deck is non-textured tile, which is extremely slippery and dangerous for children. There were several slips and falls for my 5 and 8 year old children. The beach was disgusting. Tons of trash had washed up on the beach, supposedly from Cuba and Haiti. Sneakers, bleach bottles, toothbrushes, etc. The trash and debris was up to our shins in places. The management company did finally send out gardeners to clean up the beach on our fourth day there, but they barely made a dent. For $7500 a week, we expected a clean beach, especially as the property next door had a pristine beach. Overall, we were unhappy with Coral Kai and with the management company, who were helpful up until they got our money. The one plus was Jenny at Beachfront Butlers, who provided fantastic childcare. If you are looking for a clean, white sand beach, and a kid-friendly house, do not waste your money on Coral Kai. We have traveled extensively throughout the Carribean and Europe, and this was our worst vacation.
There was a storm all week while they were there and it kept the pool deck wet, but their small children refused to stop running on the deck and slipped. The storm brought mounds of sea grass and flotsam onto the beach and we sent men over before they arrived, during their stay and after they left. This woman wanted to be on 7 Mile Beach where the beach is barefoot, but there were no homes available. Look at the reviews for this house and it is great. They stayed in February, but after repeated attempts to extort a refund with threats of bad reviews; she finally posted it. It just isn't fair for this woman not to even speak about the house, our services, the manager who sent the men out to rake in a driving rainstorm... please remove this review as it is malicious and is a threat made true by a woman who was just mad at the weather. Nature brings us rain and flotsam. we do our best.

I researched many properties before deciding on Coral Kai. The pictures of the lanai were what made my final decision. I can tell you that you will not be disappointed if you choose this house! The pictures do not do it justice. It has many upgrades not shown in the pictures. The kitchen was fabulous and even had a pro waffle maker like you find in the hotels. My kids loved eating waffles every morning. The house is huge and everyone had their own space. We were 3 adults and 3 children aged 14, 13 and 6. There is a coral reef directly in front of the house and they loved the snorkling. The pool is wonderful and relaxing and the outside lanai was our favorite place. The furniture is very nice and plenty of shade, and this side of the island gets a constant breeze that you don't find on the southside, so it was always pleasant even on very hot days. The house really lacks nothing. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. There are plenty of towels and beach towels even for a large family. We hated to leave beautiful Coral Kai, but we will definitely return!
