Recently built- 5 or 6BR/6BA Luxury “Moon Kai” is a luxury oceanfront villa estate on the best beach within Cayman Kai (maybe the entire island). The 5BR Main House and (optional) beautifully-equipped 1BR Coach-house apartment can sleep a total of 14 people (12 adults max.) with 5 King Suites (each with private bath & oceanfront screened porch) and a Queen Master suite in the beautifully equipped Coach-house apartment. Each suite also has a pull out "chair-and-a-half" sleeper for a child. The 1,000 sq ft Coach House (w/ queen suite) offers a full kitchen, dining area, living area (TV) and screened porch...also has a queen sleeper sofa. Oceanfront infinity pool, palms for shade and a huge barefoot beach. This estate is within (barefoot) walking distance of the famous Rum Point Club.
The “curb appeal” for this luxury villa begins with a private courtyard for vehicles as well as a large entry pergola which will overflow with bougainvillea blooms. 16 feet of glass (French) doorway permits the newly arriving guests a full view of the villa interior as well as the infinity pool and Caribbean Sea through the oceanfront sliding glass doors. Besides the requisite amenities of central air-conditioning, ceiling fans, wireless internet and multiple flat screen televisions; “Moon Kai” offers it’s travel-weary guests an interior elevator to the second floor foyer; and a wheelchair ramp to the right of the front steps for those in need, or who have heavy luggage to roll into the house.
On the second floor there is an additional entertainment area ( The "TV Loft") on the front of the house with two trundle/daybeds (can sleep 4 children).. seating for watching movies or just conversation. This unique “extra” family area also has a large porch overlooking the courtyard, coach house and pergola…which permits a breeze to flow through the house on those winter evenings when A/C is not necessary.
6BR/7BA Moon Kai is one of the most popular large rental villas on Grand Cayman. It offers just the right balance of luxury, space, privacy and amenities to appeal to a wide range of travelers. There will be many great memories created at Moon Kai.

From the moment we pulled in the driveway my jaw was on the floor. And it just kept getting better. We stayed in the main house of Moon Kai for about a week with 5 couples. It was more than enough space. Our bedroom (with an en suite full bath) was on the first floor and even with 9 other people in the house you couldn't hear a sound- and I went to bed early every night. From our bedroom there was an attached porch with a view overlooking the white sand into the ocean. It was like our own little piece of heaven. Waking up to that view never got old. Every morning we thought how lucky we were to be there. The common areas were spacious and had the most comfortable furniture and the kitchen was great to cook in. There was plenty of room for all of us to stretch out on the sectional- when we weren't spending time outdoors. The pool area was incredible. The beach pristine. I loved the greenery surrounding the property it made you feel like no one else was around. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy. Some days we would walk down the beach and snorkel our way back, others we would stop at Rum Point for cocktails. We chartered a boat that took us to sting ray city, snorkeling, then to a shoreline that was peppered with giant red star fish. It was the coolest experience ever. I'll never forget this vacation, it's at the top of my list.

We just returned from Moon Kai and the photos don't do this villa justice. There were two couples and three single folks, the rooms are situated so they are very private and each one has a great ocean view. There was plenty of room and all the amenities are top notch. The week we spent there it felt like our own private beach. Walking up to Rum Pointe to have lunch and mudslides was so relaxing. We also booked our snorkel and sting ray excursion through Red Sail Sports in Rum Pointe. Another amazing outing. I'm glad we decided to stay where things were within walking distance, yet very private.
The BBQ dinner at Kaibo Beach club was delicious and the band that plays on Tuesday nights was rockin...Great fun.
We contacted Rosie Paris, who was recommended by Grand CAyman VIllas and Condos and she came in and cooked for us on two seperate occassions. The food was delicious and they couldn't have been any nicer. I would highly recommend hiring Rosie and her team.
I would recommend a car, it gave us the freedom to hit the grocery store when we needed. Its hard to buy all you need for a week at the beginning of your trip.
The recommendations found on Grand Cayman Villas website and on their mobile app are incredibly helpful. Download the app, it came in very handy.

The pictures online of Moon Kai do not do this place justice. Everything I read about was delivered beyond our expectations. The main house has a perfect layout to entertain and interact. Our stay was great! We had a flawless experience. The pool and beach were spectacular and clean. I would highly recommend staying at Moon Kai. This house must be one of the best on the island; secluded, intimate setting. Perfect.

If you are looking for the perfect property to rent in Cayman Kai look no further than Moon Kai! I was in awe of this house from the moment I walked through the doors - it was immaculate, has an ideal layout, an amazing pool and deck and the location and sunset views are spectacular! Our group was several couples traveling together and each of us getting a private, perfectly air conditioned, king room with attached en suite and private deck with view was so wonderful. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped and I loved that there was an outside dining table that sat all 12 of us within the screened-in porch. Just taking a walk down the beach it is easy to see that Moon Kai has the best landscaped beach front around! I loved how we could layout at the pool or on the sand and feel like we had our own private beach front. The view of the sunset was a highlight each night, you can watch it perfectly from Moon Kai! I really cannot say enough wonderful things about this property, I would recommend it to anyone - couples, families with children, and seniors (the house even has an elevator to the upstairs!). I really enjoyed being away from the crowded and touristy West Bay, but liked still being able to walk to restaurants and beach bars at Rum Point. This house is in walking distance to the Rum Point dock where you can book excursions such as boating to Sting Ray City which I also highly recommend! Hopefully we will find ourselves back in Grand Cayman soon and when we do, we will definitely be staying at Moon Kai!

I would love to give this home a 5-Star rating. This is the most difficult review that I have ever written.
Our experience with Jim & Grace with Grand Cayman Villas was fantastic! The concierge, Jenny, with Beach House Butlers was amazing! Our catering by Mise en Place was over-the-top delicious! Charter with Red Sail was perfect.
The location is just perfect! We walked to Rum Point for lunches. Cooked our own breakfast.
But the new home needs some work on the a/C. Four out of five bedrooms were stuffy and warm for the entire trip. One night, after the repair people finally came and cleaned out the filters it was better. Although, the next night the bedrooms were hot again. The a/C in all bedrooms is set at 74 degrees, except the Master, which stays cool. The four other bedrooms were between 76-84 degrees at 10PM each evening. By morning they were down to 74.
We did not complain the first day because the draperies had been open to the beautiful west view when we arrived, so we were under the impression that the sun had warmed the rooms. But we kept the draperies closed the entire trip and were uncomfortable every night. The property manager was very hard to reach, although the Jim from Grand Cayman Villas was very easy to reach. And the actual owner of the home even called.
I hope they will get this resolved! Please lease this home during the cooler months if possible. It is amazing!
We loved the spot on the beach, and the beautiful pool! It is wonderful home! Each of the five bedrooms has a view of the ocean and a private patio, along with a twin bed fold out sofa. There is a loft with four twin beds with a flat screen TV. We had a family of 15 and did not use all of the beds (10 adults and 5 toddlers).
The large kitchen and open plan provided a perfect setting for gatherings of family or friends!
It is a wonderful place. We had a beautifully served meal on the patio with live music the last night with a the sun setting directly in the water. Amazing!!
THANKS for the review. You hit the nail on the head; the house and experience was great; but the (New) A/C system was fussy (twitchy thermostats we found out)and needed maintenance. The owner scrambled the manufacturer rep and builder and they were able to keep it at 74 degrees with low humidity. These guests wanted it colder; so there are some limits that are being reached. These guests were very pleasant and enjoyed the house otherwise; but that was an issue that we are addressing.

We stayed at this wonderful 5 bedroom 5 bath home with 5 private patios. There were 8 adults and 4 children We all had plenty of space to be alone or large enough areas for family gatherings. This home is a 2 story with an elevator. Beautiful white sand beach, infinity pool, so much to mention, but we know for sure we will be coming back every year..

Wow. Perfection on vacation. Probably the best location on the entire island if you are a large group of friends or family. This villa is brand new and perfectly laid out. All 5 bedrooms in the main house have Northsound views, king beds and showers for two! They are positioned so they have no common walls making each room very private. The kitchen is well equipped allowing us to prepare most of our own meals and save a huge amount of money! The best part of the beach is right out the door, just past the infinity pool. We also had the carriage house. It has a living room, dining area, kitchen, and a huge master bathroom. There were 10 adults, 4 children, and 2 infants in our group. We had more than enough room and privacy. We walked to rum point club every day, in our bare feet, and snorkeled right out in front of the villa every day. We saw the entire island on our 8 day stay, but by far our favorite place to be was poolside at Moon Kai. One day we rented a boat and enjoyed being out on the North Sound and visiting stingray sandbar. We could bring the boat right up to the beach to drop people off and get more on. It would have been nice to have a couple of kayaks available for us but they can be rented just down the beach. Working with Jim and Grace at grandcaymanvillas.net was a breeze and I highly recommend them. Your attention and flexibility with the back and forth with my group was very appreciated. Jim, the pictures you have on the website don't do this place justice. Maybe you could provide a link just for more pictures!? Thank you all so much for a perfect vacation!!!
