Our family along with 2 other families (12 total) stayed there over Labor Day in 2012. The place is wonderful and the location couldn't be better. The accommodations were great and you had everything that we needed and more. Just a quick stroll to the lake with plenty of options as far as getting out on the water for all ages. The fishing was amazing and we saw many moose while we were there. We missed out on it this year but hope to be back in the future. Thank you Shawn for everything!
"Amazing Management staff and great cabin location!"

My boss and his friends stayed a week at the Sun Valley Lakeside Cabin. Shawn was truly amazing, and went the extra mile to assist me in making my bosses trip extremely enjoyable and pleasant. Shawn was available immediately and also assisted in any area questions I had about Grand Lake itself, she took extra care of my guests, and the cabin itself was perfect! The view, the advantages you have being so close to everything and the rental places for snow mobiling, she made our experience so efficient and outstanding! I highly recommend anyone looking for an amazing getaway - an awesome cabin and an amazing view, to stay at Log Cabin Sun Valley in Grand Lake CO!!

I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. The geese every morning, seeing the Moose and her calf, having mountains in our view, and the Lodge was everything I had hoped for! The view, the deck, the decor was all just perfect. Your hospitality was wonderful and we throughouly enjoyed our visit with you, Shawn. Grand Lake is one of the most enjoyable small towns that a person could find. The shops, the people, the lake itself, just make the stay that much more enjoyable. Would I return, for sure!

We love staying at Sun Valley Ranch. We try to stay there every year. Sometimes we stay at the Lodge (featured here), and sometimes we stay at the Bunkhouse. The Lodge is big (it will sleep at least 10 people)! It has a great kitchen, and it is super spacious for gathering and sharing good memories with friends. I love the whirlpool tub. We sleep contentedly in comfortable beds with fluffy pillows and down comforters at the Lodge. It is clean and inviting--like a home away from home (only way nicer than my home)! Sun Valley Lake is just a few hundred yards away, and sometimes we fish in the lake, and chase the geese. The Lodge's great room looks out over a meadow where we have enjoyed watching the Bruton family horses, as well as elk and moose! It's a great place to really relax and enjoy creation. Sun Valley is close to hiking in both Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park, and arapaho Nat'l Forest (also XC skiing if we visit in the winter). In fact, the Forest is almost literally next door! The beautiful hand-hewn log home (built by the owner, Ken Bruton) is welcoming and warm after a day of skiing. We have been staying at Sun Valley Ranch since our kids were small and we lived in Nebraska. So even though we live in Montana now, we still try to go back to Sun Valley in Colorado every year. We are happy to highly recommend it!
