tranquil and peaceful barn over looking leighton reservoir

Left on Dec 03, 2009 for a stay in March 2009

very nice owners, who live to one side of the barn, left us scones and milk and eggs, a loaf of home baked bread on our arrival. Very comfortable barn, extremely quiet, though is a good way from civilisation - masham - which was perfect for us, but may be too isolated for others. cosy cottage, lovely food, walkers heaven, the perfect holiday!!

Left on Feb 19, 2010 for a stay in October 2008

The cottage was delightful, and the fresh flowers and a bottle of wine on arrival was so welcoming.

To see the race horses going to the gallops early every morning remains in our memories, and ensures we shall not forget the lovely village of middleham.

We found some great gastro pubs near by and those in the village were lovely too.

All in all with great country walks, a perfect place to stay.

Left on Jun 18, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

There was a gully between the two rooms, banisters only half way up the steep stairs, and on the top landing the cut out floorboard on the landing made access to the stairs hazardous. The rear door had a hole in it and did not lock. This property needs a safety check and is very unsuitable for the elderly. Very disappointing as it looked attractive on the web site.
