Monferrato: Apartment in a converted farmhouse

Back in the 16th century La Famulenta was a monastery of Jesuit monks. Agriculture was their main activity and their produce fed the surrounding localities of Moncalvo, Grana, Casorzo and Grazzano Badoglio. These villages sit on the rolling hills that are called the Monferrato in Piedmont. In June 2014 the Monferrato has been appointed a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our apartment overlooks the vineyards of Fulvio and Dario Natta who make the local Barbera and other delicacies.
