Just downstairs are all the little family run pavement cafés around the Marina. It is ideal for a couple or family of 4. Get up in the morning and walk 50 yards to the boulangerie and buy warm croissants and hot baguettes for breakfast. Sometimes linger at the bakers for a coffee and other times eat them on our balcony and watch the world go by.
During the day take a walk to the beach (5 minutes) or just laze around the pool. If you feel energetic join in the morning exercises in the park, cycle around the La Clappe mountains or go and watch the flamingos catch shrimp.
There is so much to see and do here, The canal du Midi, the little yellow train that takes you up the Pyrenées mountains, water sports from the beach, white water rafting in the rivers and of course, more than a hundred Medieval castles to explore.
The wine here is particularly good and a nice bottle will not set you back more than five pounds.
Gruissan offers every activity and amenity that you could be looking for in a holiday with plenty to do for both adults and children as well as of course, the beautiful beach and all the water sports .
