Tucked behind palm trees on an oceanfront lot, Villa Oceanis is a perfect romantic hideaway or family vacation spot in Guanacaste. Enjoy the sound of the waves from the villa’s pool and outdoor living area or simply cross the lawn to the ocean. Though the two-bedroom house is secluded and private, it’s also just 80 minutes from the Liberia airport.
Start each day with coffee at the outdoor dining area on the sun-dappled deck facing the ocean, then adjourn to the deck’s lounge area or the pool, which has a jetted seating area. The ocean lies down a flight of steps from the lawn, and you’ll find snorkeling equipment at the villa. While away the afternoon in the hammocks or daybed, rinse off in the outdoor shower and prep dinner on the gas grill. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi ensure you’ll stay entertained in the evenings, and air-conditioned bedrooms ensure you’ll stay comfortable.
The villa is cozy yet beachy, with light filtering through the palm trees onto wood floors and white and gray paneled walls. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open to the oceanfront deck on one side and the lush garden on the other. The open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen has a wall of built-in wood cabinets, a plush gray sectional and a round dining table. Accents like turquoise throw cushions and a blue backsplash bring the colors of the ocean inside.
Each of the villa’s two bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom with shower, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other has a full bed and twin bunk bed. Like the common areas, the bedrooms are breezy and welcoming, with whitewashed beamed ceilings, rustic paneled walls, and colorful modern artwork.
Villa Oceanis is a 200-meter walk from Playa Blanca. By car, it’s 5 minutes to a grocery store and Playa Negra, 10 minutes to a church, 30 minutes to the Pinilla Golf Course, 40 minutes to a tennis court and the town of Tamarindo and 45 minutes to the town of Santa Cruz. The Liberia airport is an 85-minute drive away.

This was the most relaxing exprience I have had in quite some time. I enjoyed the quiet enviroment, the home like atmosphere. Without the cell phones and house phone. I enjoyed myself and will return. - Sherron J., ,

The location was fabulous, the house very comfortable and the caretakers Fabrice and Patty were great -- so helpful and so kind. All of their recommendations were perfectly in line with what we wanted to do. - Denice K., New York, USA

Richard was completely courteous and professional, he was most of the reason why I followed up my idea of renting a villa and did not just stick with a hotel. He was a pleasure to communicate with and I would surely conduct business with him again. - Satia C., Florida, USA

We loved our villa. It was just as it was described in the marketing materials which made for a pleasant experience. What we didn\'t expect or understand was the duties of the house manager, housekeeper and gardener. We were looking for a private place to unwind without much interruption. While all these people were very nice and very helpful we wished we would have had more privacy at the villa. We would wake up and look out our bedroom window to see someone cleaning the pool. We would see workers come in and out of our gate all day long (even the weekend). We never felt alone or like we had total privacy. Having privacy was the inspiration for our renting a private villa. It kind of defeated the purpose for us to have so many people in and out. Also we were encouraged to give all of these staff members a tip. The gardener? for what? We think the villa and people are wonderful however we want to encourage the staff to be mindful of their guests privacy. - John T., Georgia, USA
“Villa is very charming and sunsets were fantastic”

We found the Villa to be very charming, comfortable and was equipped with everything that we needed or expected. Fabrise, the house manager was very available and helpful throughout our stay. The kids loved the pool, though its a bit on the small size and could have used a few more toys\" for the kids to play with. Hammock in front yard was nice and the sunsets every night were awesome. The area was quite rural and quiet, which was fine for us. The roads were definitely challenging to get around as they were mostly dirt roads in our area and along the coast. Not quite the number of English-speaking locals as we were led to think, but we managed. Overall, we had a very good stay at the Villa and would recommend it to others looking for a fairly quiet getaway. We were also very happy with the level of service provided by Luxury Retreats, as they were prompt to answer any questions we had and made the rental experience very easy.\" - Susan M., Maine, USA
“A pefect spot to peacefully enjoy the rugged beauty of Costa Ric”

We enjoyed the stylish bungalow\'s peace and tranquility and loved coming back to it after a day of adventure. This area of Costa Rica is still quite rugged and we might have missed a lot without the guidance and suggestions of Fabrice, the house manager. With his help our girls were able to learn to surf, we saw lots of wildlife, ate some great food and enjoyed several amazing beaches! - Jim V., Texas, USA
