Getaway For Memorial Day At Cozy Beach Cottage
It's not too early to think about your Memorial Day getaway. Join us at the beach in this fun and funky little corner of Old Florida. The weather is fine in May and June. Start the summer on white sand beaches or by the pool with a Margarita.
Do not miss the chance to get away to this intimate and charming retreat and enjoy a little bit of the quirky that is Gulfport. Whether a family trip or a grown-ups escape, you'll find this funky artist community with its quaint shops and outstanding restaurants to be the perfect location for your getaway.
Two bedrooms, one bath, full kitchen, dining room and living room, which overlooks Boca Ciega Bay. Sometimes called "the pink house," the Gulfport Beach Cottage is on a brick-paved street across from Gulfport Municipal Beach in the historic Art District.
Not some boring hotel room or cookie cutter condo, the Gulfport Beach Cottage gives you all the comforts of home—but at the beach! Warm, intimate and inviting the minute you walk in the door. Once you arrive, unpack and unwind. Kick back and relax in the living room with views of the bay. Read while you watch the sailboats on the water. Select a book from our little library of good reads. Or enjoy satellite HDTV. Catch a movie. See if one of your favorites is included in our DVD collection. DVD players and WiFi are provided.
Hungry? Gulfport offers truly great restaurants (more on that later). But you don't have to eat out for every meal. Cook in the full kitchen. It's completely stocked with cookware, plates, glasses and utensils. Eat in the dining room with a view out toward the beach.
Both master and guest bedrooms have queen beds. All bed linen and covers are provided. Bath and beach towels are in the space. The laundry room is on the ground floor with washer and dryer available for your use.
Enjoy the pool. Stretch out on a chaise lounge and sit poolside with a refreshing drink. Or dine al fresco by the pool at the high boy table.TripAdvisor property ID 4434186...Read more

As soon as we got there, Karen and Chuck were very welcoming. They showed us around and gave us lots of tips and pointers to the area. The house was very clean and comfy, loved all the windows upstairs, makes for a nice breeze. Will definitely be coming back, and would recommend to others.

This rental is in a great location - across the street from the beach, and one block from the gorgeous little downtown area of Gulfport. The restaurants, stores and bars are all within EASY walking distance, yet there was no disturbing traffic, crowds, etc. Close proximity to Tampa, and St. Pete make for easy day trips - only to return to the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of this great little town. The rental has everything you need - comfortable sleeping, convenient kitchen/diining, pool, and seating areas. Will definitely be going back!

This charming, second story, two bedroom apartment is just steps from the beach (across the street) and a block from Beach Boulevard, the main Gulfport village steet lined with great restaurants and shops. We walked to everything, including several festivals held while we were in town. (Stop in at the quiet, little neighborhood bar across the street which has good food and good company.)
The well-equipped efficiency kitchen in our vacation digs enabled us to keep our stay within budget. Many of the basics, like salt and pepper, cleaning suppies, etc. are provided. There's a laundry room at the foot of the stairs. Very convenient.
During our stay, we rarely used the air conditioning. With windows open on both sides of the unit, a tropical breeze kept us comfortable.
Internet, satelite TV, a good selection of books, a DVD player, and even a few board games were provided.
Karen and Chuck, proprieters, were available to answer questions about the area and made our stay very pleasant.
We had a great time and absolutely loved the area.
“This beach cottage/apartment was the getaway we were looking for”

The proprietors, Chuck and Karen ,handled all of the rental arrangements in a professional but warm and welcoming manner. Since they live in the downstairs apartment they were on hand to take care of any needs that arose.
Although our rental was on the second floor we felt like we had stepped from the sand into a beachfront cottage. It was nicely decorated with an island feel and contained all the amentities needed to settle in for a carefree and comfortable stay. And at night it was fun to watch beach volleyball games from the front windows.
"Location, location, location" as they say. We had a rental car but barely used it. The rental was steps from a wide assortment of non-chain restaurants. Almost all had additional sidewalk or porch seating. Art galleries and shops lined the beachfront boulevard. The beach was so close to our place that I was able to snap a picture of my husband in the water from the living room window.
My husband and I were looking for a vacation that would meet our separate needs: golf, beach and rum drinks for him, quirky restaurants, art and people watching for me. We had it all in this quaint Old Florida town.

The home was plenty roomy for our family of four. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen which was very organized with all the necessecities and then some. The views were fabulous, waking in the morning watching the sunrise over the water. We could see the beach from the living room and the back porch. The pool area was nice to layout in the sun and watch the sea gulls come down for a drink. Having a laundry room and all the supplies necessary to get clothes done was awesome. Charles and Karen were friendly hosts and eager to help us out in many ways. Communication was very prompt and polite. The art district and restuarants were just a couple of blocks away. We visited the historic Casino for dancing, which is down the street.
