Additional Location Information

Ha'iku is a rural/agricultural area of Mau's North Shore. Lush hills with vacant lands and agricultural activity, rural subdivisions with large properties and residential areas closer to two town centers, the Ha'iku Market Place and Pauwela Cannery. A public bus is leaving from the Market Place to Kahului and to different areas on the island, however, we recommend to rent a car. You will find Mom and Pub stores, fine dining from gourmet to local style. Explore the upcountry area, our Rodeo town Makawao or the Plantation town Paia with unique shops, boutiques and art galleries and great restaurants.
The coastline to Hana has spectacular views, waterfalls and hiking areas. Take your time and enjoy the beauty of the tropical side of the island. White, black and red sand beaches, sunrise on Haleakala or tasting Maui's wines in Ulupalakula. Watch our honu (see turtles) and the humpback whales from Dec. - April.
Find your favorite beach for swimming and snorkeling or for surfing, windsurfing and standup paddle boarding.
