Our Lake Lodge address is 4883 Onawa Dr. and is located 5 miles from the town of Hale, MI.
Parking is available for 3 to 4 cars and even a boat.
Nearby are excellent restaurants, grocery stores, banks, gas stations, drug stores, churches and for night life there are bars with Karaoke and dancing.
Taxi service is available from Long Lake Taxi service.
Top attractions are:
Iargo Springs: Where the Indians use to have their powwows, the lumbermen use to camp and where you can see for miles. Go down the stairs to the boardwalk and see the numerous super clean springs coming out of the hill and go right up to the Au Sable River.
Lumberman's Monument: See how the lumbermen use to live and take the trail to the lookout to see the sand dunes and the Au Sable River.
Au Sable River Paddleboat: Take a cruise, which is 1 to 2 hours long, on an old fashion paddle boat down the Au Sable River. Refreshments are available on board. Also available are cruises in the fall to see the color change.
Rose Valley Winery: Go for a tour of the plant and sample free many of their excellent wines which are reasonably priced.
Huron National Forest: Drive or hike down it's many roads and trails, explore this forest of almost 1,000,000 square miles and pick wild berries.
Rifle River Recreation Area: This area of almost 5,000 square miles, consisting of 10 lakes is in it's pristine condition, Go up to the tower for an unsurpassed view and go to the beach to swim in the clear clean water.
