Though the weather was bad the serive and accomadation were ideal. The apartment had everything we required with two small children. The golf course on the adjacent island (Dent) is one of the most in the spectacular in the world (if not a bit hard).
“We stayed 6 nights - wish it could have been 16!!! superb! Vie”

Excellent service that started on our arrival to Hamilton Island. Beautiful accommodation. Very spacious and we are a family of 6. Choice of 4 different pool. Right opposite the beach. Buggy with unit made it convenient to travel around the Island. Scenic views from the apartment are breathtaking. Balcony stretches across the Master bedroom and lounge/dining area allowing all to benefit from the views. We have teenagers and very young children. They all loved their New Year holiday 2013 / 2014! Thank you! Definitely recommend.

We liked our apartment, it had lots of space and wonderful views over the ocean with a gorgeous garden and perfectly manicured lawns below our balcony. It was a bit dated though and the bedspreads and blankets were very scruffy and needed replacing. Except for in the master bedroom. No matching sheets or pillow cases either for any of the beds. It really did need a good spring clean and the broken sliding doors in the master bedroom needed fixing and the rubbish behind them removed. Also there is a round window between the ensuite bathroom and master bedroom that was nice to look out from to the views of the ocean when showering, but was a bit weird and not the usual! It really needs to go! We did enjoy the his and hers vanities in the master bedroom ensuite and the fact that the other family members had there own bathroom as well.
We felt It was ideal accomodation for a big family who aren't into luxury accomodation. It was value for money but does need to be updated.
The rubbish was collected every day which was great, and everything was there that we needed just like in a motel.
The concierge who greeted us was lovely and she was available with all the local knowledge if we needed her.She picked us up in a golf cart from the airport and also dropped us off again when we flew out.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would definately stay there again.
We loved the fact that the rainbow lorikeets, Cockatoos and Kookaburras and even Crows settled on our balcony rail everyday!
All amenities are available on Hamilton Island. It's a fantastic place to holiday and you can swim in every pool on the Island bar one, and there were many of them to swim in also a couple of outdoor spa pools.Theres so much to do and see and having a cocktail while watching the sun go down from the portable bar on the top of the hill was magic. It's a very romantic Island with lots of shops and water activities and non water sport activities too. I Highly recommend this place to travel to.

Nice apartment with great views. Stayed with 2 kids (3 year old & 8 month old), had a high chair and portacot. The high chair & portacot were quite filthy when we got there, but nothing a bit of soap & water couldn't fix. No baby linen so we made do with what was there. Children's sand bucket & beach towels provided, which was nice.
Kitchen well-equipped (good as we ordered from Coles Online), but no oven (I was told there was one).
On second floor, so it was a bit of a pain to lug the pram up each time, but the views made up for it.
We had a great time, would definitely recommend it.
“Good Location, great views, but lacking in basic condiments and”

The arrival and check in was of high standard, staff are friendly and helpful. The unit was clean and comfortable with fantastic view across Catseye Beach and all the water sports.
We were disappointed to find out that we couldn't charge back to the Lagoon rooms, therefore having to have cash on us the whole time.
We also thought they could supply basic condiments in the room, as having to buy a whole salt, pepper and sugar and then carry them home wasn't very good. Also one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for a weeks stay, was another thing we had to purchase.

The accommodation had unbeatable views in a great location on the island & the amenities on the island were great.
The apartment we stayed though (lagoon 205), was due for a maintenance check - the floor needed a good clean, there were ants all throughout the kitchen & lounge room & the furniture was dusty. A few other thing like the doors to the balcony had broken locks, door stops with tape on them, the front door need to had your shoulder thrust into it to open, etc.
The kitchen had a full size fridge, dishwasher, gas stove & microwave but no oven.
Activities on the island were good but way over priced, the cruises to whitehaven & the reef were what you would expect to pay but the staff were not very helpful (when my son got very ill on whitehaven, the didnt seem to care).
Other activities such as jet ski hire $270 for 1 hour (on a tour with other tourists), were too expensive for me to justify.
Groceries on the island are 2 to 3 time what you would pay on the main land, if your staying in an apartment coles on line is a real life (and wallet) saver!
We stayed for 10 days but 7 days is plenty.
It would be cheaper to go overseas for 10 days than stay at hamilton island due to the inflated cost of food & activities.
Thank you for your feedback. All of the maintenance issues have been attended to and rectified.
Sorry to hear that your son was ill, I hope he is feeling better and that you were able to enjoy the beauty of Whitehaven Beach.
