This site is idyllic.

Left on Jul 05, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Located about midway between Stonington and the town of Deer Isle, the cottage is handy to island locations and eateries. Perfect for relaxing, there is access to a stony ledge where you can sit and dangle your feet into the cove's water at high tide AND there is a big screened porch with a swing. Lots of screened windows to open and get a cross breeze upstairs. Owner has provided everything you …

Real Maine tranquility

Left on Sep 11, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

For our first family trip to Maine, we feel we made an excellent choice. We had to travel during prime time (kids with school schedules), so this was very budget friendly. The cottage is tiny, but sufficient. Could be so adorable with a little updating, in general. One definite need is either additional shelving or cabinet for travelers to use as a pantry in the kitchen. We mostly cooked, …

You are paying for the view only

Left on Mar 19, 2015 for a stay in August 2014

Stayed here last year for two weeks. We were excited to go as the pictures looked great. What we found was:

* House in ill-repair

* Screens on sliding doorwalls missing (they showed up near the end of our stay)

* House very dirty. Never rented such a dirty place. I cleaned the kitchen, but had the mgmt company come and clean the bathrooms

* boards on the dock dangerous to walk on because …

One Very Critical Inaccuracy

Left on Nov 03, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Wolfhound cottage fit the description given online with one very critical inaccuracy. The description states “This one-bedroom cottage has views of Penobscot Bay from the deck...” when, in fact, there are no views of Penobscot Bay or any other body of water from the deck or cottage. Curiously, the property manager denied that the Wolfhound Cottage description included a "view" of the water. …
