A stylish, romantic getaway, located directly opposite the beach in the quieter end of town. This is a lovely and spacious, basement studio flat, that has been decorated, in a contemporary style with a mix of modern and vintage furniture and comfortable bed.

The owners of Stones throw are an architect and an artist, so they have poured lots of attention to design into the flat, with high quality furnishings. St Leonards-on-Sea is a great base from which to explore 1066 country, being conveniently located between Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea, both of which feature a range of interesting attractions. Just inland you will find the historic town of Battle and travelling further afield Rye, Eastbourne, Lewes and Brighton are all easy to reach by car or train.
For art lovers, The Jerwood gallery in Hastings has just opened and the De La Warr gallery in Bexhill is also close with great exhibitions. Both can make a great day out by walking along the beach to reach them. There is also the Towner gallery in Eastbourne and the newly opened art gallery in Margate, a little further afield.
As mentioned above there is plenty of cultural activity, a vibrant music scene and independent art galleries with regular private views on a friday. There are also plenty of cafes and antique shops (reasonable prices). Fresh fish can be bought from the Stade, provided by our fishermen. Lovely walks in the country parks. Beautiful gardens, kite surfing and sailing for enthusiasts.

For lovers of architecture, Hastings and St. Leonards and the old town has so many grade 11 listed buildings, buildings designed by Decimus and James Burton and last but not least, Marine Court, the art deco building that looks like a ship.

There are also plenty of traditional seaside attractions from crazy golf, pirate caves, the castle, amusements, funfairs, ice cream, fresh fish & chips and perhaps some of the most interesting festivals all year round. Fat tuesday (jazz), beatles day, May Day, Old Town Week, Pirate Day, the sea food and wine festival, america ground celebrations, carnivals, and bonfire night processions.
