Additional Location Information

We are very central - yet with a rural aspect, on the Karamu Stream cycle track. Havelock North, a few minutes away, offers top boutique shopping, as well as other usual services. Te Mata Park has great walking tracks, wonderful views and the renowned redwood forest. Arataki Honey Farm has a fascinating display of the honey making process, courtesy of bees, with a myriad of products to taste and buy. The wine and bike trails around Hawke's Bay in general are legend, and we have the Karamu stream, with a short bike trail beside it on our doorstep. Hawke's Bay is home to a variety of golf courses, including the world class Kidnappers, about 40 minutes' drive away. In summer Splash Planet in Hastings is a tremendous attraction for the children, and that's only five minutes' drive or ten minutes bike ride away. You could definitely say that the Pavilion and John's House are ideally located.
