Secluded romantic country getaway but only a few minutes' walk, bike or drive to the Village of Havelock North.
Expansive gardens and lawns bounding the Karamu Stream
Stunning architecture and superb location
The Pavilion, completed for Easter 2013 proudly shares some space on our beautiful 8 hectare (20 acre) property with John's House and our own residence. Designed by Pete Bossley it is a stunning compliment to John’s House and provides the perfect accommodation choice for visitors to the sunny Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand, all year round.
If you are looking for intimate luxury in a pastoral setting, exceptional architecture, amenities and facilities all located no more than 20 minutes from all the best Havelock North, Hastings, Napier and wider Hawke's Bay attractions this is the perfect destination. Generous breakfast provisions are provided and home grown produce is available in season.
Relax and enjoy The Pavilion or use it as a base from which to explore the wineries and restaurants, wonderful cycle trails, walks, beaches and rivers the region is renowned for. Snuggle up in warmth and style, in perfect privacy in a countryside setting.
Our 8 hectare property has over a hectare of lawns gardens and trees and is a haven for birdlife. We hobby farm cattle which share the pastures with 3 alpacas, horses and a couple of friendly kunekune pigs.
We are children and pet friendly. We have owned this property since 1988 and lived most of our lives in Hawke's Bay and enjoy sharing our space and our knowledge of the region. We can arrange private farm, vineyard and garden tours, make restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, organise bike hire - even a flight in a Tiger Moth or hire of our convertible Porsche.

Additional Location Information
We are very central - yet with a rural aspect, on the Karamu Stream cycle track. Havelock North, a few minutes away, offers top boutique shopping, as well as other usual services. Te Mata Park has great walking tracks, wonderful views and the renowned redwood forest. Arataki Honey Farm has a fascinating display of the honey making process, courtesy of bees, with a myriad of products to taste and buy. The wine and bike trails around Hawke's Bay in general are legend, and we have the Karamu stream, with a short bike trail beside it on our doorstep. Hawke's Bay is home to a variety of golf courses, including the world class Kidnappers, about 40 minutes' drive away. In summer Splash Planet in Hastings is a tremendous attraction for the children, and that's only five minutes' drive or ten minutes bike ride away.
