Perfectly located only 3 miles from the charming and historic Healdsburg Plaza, this fabulous custom home abounds with special eco-friendly features including blown-in cellulose and effective bat ceiling insulation atop a massive, whole house radiant-heated concrete slab, which keeps the house cool in warm weather and vice versa. With such excellent design and insulation, central heat and air-conditioning is not needed.
The beautiful, new, in-ground salt water pool/spa with electric cover, is solar heated; the spa is also gas heated and controlled with a handheld remote. The partially covered front porch is a beautiful gathering place that looks out over the pool and new bocce ball court on the side. Furnished with a large teak dining table and chairs for six, four beautiful chaise lounges for the ‘sun worshippers’ and a comfy new full-sized outdoor sofa with two chairs, coffee table, and end table, this entertainment space is especially tranquil and serene. Completing the outdoor amenities are a new Weber natural gas grill plus a briquette kettle grill for the grilling ‘purists.’
The entry hall has polished concrete floors covered with natural fiber area rugs in the living room, bedrooms, and entertainment room, are particularly welcoming. The open beamed ceilinged Great Room is on your right, with a ceiling fan for optimal air circulation. Special energy efficient shades reflect sun and heat for the large windows on the west side of the room, helping to keep the house cool in the warmer season. The living area has two lovely, new sofas, a large recycled wood coffee table, and a couple of additional chairs, with windows all around.
Next to the living room is the dining area with a charming 10 + person dining table constructed of recycled wood from an old Georgia textile mill. The Gourmet Kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances, a lovely brushed black granite island with a large stainless steel Kohler sink, reverse osmosis water filtration, garbage disposal, a high-end Blanco faucet with pull down handle, and bar stools for the backseat chefs.
Completing the appliances in the kitchen are a new stainless steel Bosch dishwasher and a lovely built-in stainless steel GE Monogram fridge over freezer. On the opposite side of the kitchen is a convenient pantry that is also home to the microwave. A half bath completes the kitchen end of the great room.
Returning to the entry and the sleeping wing of the house, first up is the media room with a large sectional including a pullout queen-sized sleeper sofa, original oil paintings, shaded windows, a coffee table, and of course, the entertainment center. A new 60” Samsung plasma HDTV provides a perfect spot for watching movies or sports. In addition, the system boasts a Blu-ray player, Denon surround sound, and whole house sound system with speakers in the great room and master suite. There is also a universal mp3/iPod docking station and whole house wi-fi is provided.
Walking down the hallway leading to the bedrooms and bathrooms brings you first to the first of three bedrooms, this one with twin beds, two large windows with Roman shades, and a jute area rug. Further down the hallway and next you will find a beautiful shared bath with shower over tub, rainforest showerhead, and a beautiful single-sinked, soapstone-topped vanity with modern mirror and light sconces. The short hallway to the shared bath is also home to the laundry with a new front loading, low-water-use, high-efficiency (“HE”) washer and dryer.
Next, we arrive at the second guest bedroom with two large windows, Roman shades, a new queen bed and luxurious new linens and bedding. At the end of the hall is the very private master suite—just close the door and you will feel like you are in your own world, away from it all. The private ensuite bath is first on your left, featuring dual sinks and mirrors, a modern freestanding shower with a smooth pebbled stone floor.
The master bedroom has two large, draped windows, a built-in cabinet and shelving, and another lovely set of double full glass French doors that open to a small gravel patio with sweeping views. The French doors also have drapes so you can block the light for sleeping in or an afternoon nap. This bedroom has a lovely, new queen bed, again with gorgeous linens and bedding, a bench at the foot of the bed and end tables and lamps.
Just south of the Healdsburg square, this property offers a tranquil and serene ‘home base’ for soaking up the beauty of Mother Nature, enjoying a dip in the salt water pool and/or spa, playing a little bocce ball, or making yourself a fine feast. We rented Limerick Lane in august & were thrilled with whole experience!
You never know how on line house rental will go & this experience, happily, exceeded our expectations.
It was easy to book, guided tour of house was right on time when we arrived & best of all, the place was FaB! Well stocked luxury linens, kitchen supplies (essential for wonderful dining al fresco & bocce balls to boot. The pool/hot tub made few days stay so relaxing.
It was hard to tear our selves from house but when we did Vizslay winery for some bubbles was show walk away - John the owner was great.
We ventured in to town and had a great meal at Barn Diva.
All in all, the perfect get away from the city.
Only downside? Too short of a stay!
Next summer we will be booking Limerick Lane for an extra night or 2.

880 Limerick Lane was beautiful, charming, clean and perfectly appointed!
The kitchen-living room space was perfect for gathering the family and enjoying shared time.
The pool/hot tub and patio space was terrific!
A great space to relax and have fun. The adjacent Boce Ball court was an added bonus and provided a lot of shared laughs and friendly competition.
Located just a short 5 minute drive into the lovely town of Healdsburg, enjoying all the wonderful restaurants and great little shops was easy!
Just a stones throw from Highway 101, made it super easy to visit Windsor, Santa Rosa to the South and Hopland to the North.
The best wineries on earth lay just an easy car ride away!
We definitely would return to 880 Limerick Lane on our next visit to Northern California!
