The elegant main home is a 4br/3ba, nearly 4000 sq. ft., two-story, gated estate with central heat/AC, a spectacular gourmet kitchen, abundant high end architectural details and custom finishes, fine furnishings, and the entire home is floored in honed hickory hardwood made even more comfortable with the addition of many beautiful area rugs. The accommodations can also include a lovely, spacious 1br/1ba loft above the 3-car garage.
Arrive at Tertulia through the secure iron gate to the rock-walled entrance and paved driveway lined with Crape Myrtles, lavender and roses. The driveway turns past the house to rejoin the paved private road for easy exits. Abundant outdoor amenities include: a large, seating-wall enclosed, dining patio with plenty of outdoor furniture shaded by two specimen olive trees; a generous full-featured outdoor kitchen with BBQ, sink, refrigerator and counter prep space; a 40' x 18' heated in-ground pool including an inset spa to comfortably seat 8 guests with an automated safety cover; a generous pool deck with chaise lounges and umbrellas; a stunning 18' redwood slab picnic table nestled in the shade of two mature black walnut trees; an oversized natural gas fire pit. And just across the driveway is a workout room with Precor treadmill, an Elliptical trainer, a Diamondback recumbent bike, mats and light weights.
From the front entry hall, find a welcoming view through the library and further on through the sliding glass doors to a generous wrap-around veranda overlooking a grass lawn edged by flower beds, olive and oak trees, and vineyards and hills beyond. Turn just to your left and move down the window-lined hallway to find the generous kitchen worthy of the most discriminating chef.
From the 6-burner plus griddle, double oven, stainless steel professional Wolf range with commercial vent hood, to the gigantic butcher block center island, to the two oversized stainless steel sinks with disposals, large refrigerator/freezer, Bosch dish washer, and beautiful soapstone countertops and backsplashes, it is hard not to conjure sights and smells of the fabulous feasts that are possible here! There are also two comfortable leather bar stools perched at the end of the island to provide a vantage point for backseat chefs, and a built-in banquette style soapstone table and wooden benches where hosts or chefs can plan menus or take their respite. The kitchen transitions to an informal dining room with a large farmhouse table seating up to 12.
Back inside, from the informal dining area, it is a couple of steps up into the living area with two large sofas – one of which opens to a queen sleeper, a lovely wool area rug, twin coffee tables, two leather cube stools, and a large entertainment center anchored by a wall-mounted Samsung 55” LED 3-D TV with a Sony Blu-ray player, Yamaha surround sound receiver, Xbox 360, whole house WiFi, and a DISH HD receiver.
Beyond the formal living room is the formal dining room with a beautiful dining table and chairs seating 8. At the end of the room, find a quiet sitting area perfect for contemplation or an intimate conversation, or to browse the internet from your laptop on the whole home wifi.
To your right, look in on the library to find coffered ceilings, a cozy gas log fireplace with comfortable oversize chairs, a large ottoman and throws, and a Baldwin upright piano for the musically inclined. Continue past the library through the door to the right and find a generous private first-floor queen bedroom with its own shaded glass exterior door to the side veranda.
Returning to the library, continue through to the entry again and down the hallway to the staircase. First discover the full bath at the foot of the stairs, with a large tiled walk-in shower, and lovely pedestal sink. Then follow the banistered stairs to the second floor.
On the left is the large Master Suite with a beautiful ebony wood 4-poster king bed, antique wood and marble topped nightstands, beautiful lamps, an iHome clock radio docking station, a comfortable leather chair with ottoman, a large 8-drawer dresser, a wall-mounted Samsung 46” LED HD TV with DISH HD receiver, a small pocket-doored, walk-in closet, and a set of glass sliding doors leading to the Master’s balcony. The en suite master bath features a lovely clawfoot soaking tub with a large draped window overlooking the majestic black walnut trees. Double pedestal sinks and an extra large walk-in shower with rainforest showerhead and a shower wand complete this beautiful master bath.
Across from the Master Suite are the third and fourth bedrooms, both with queen beds, wall-mounted Samsung 32” HD TVs with DISH HD receivers, nightstands, lamps, chairs, one with a secretary desk, and one with a side table, and both with iHome clock radio docking stations, and wide sliding-door closets. Completing the upstairs is a shared, third full bath with a large pedestal sink and a large tiled walk-in shower....Read more

I am absolutely in love with Tertulia. We visited here for a friend's 50th birthday and had the time of our lives. The house is spacious, clean and thoughtfully appointed. Gorgeous grounds with olive trees and vineyards surround the home. I actually woke up one morning to have coffee on the terraced area outside my bedroom only to watch the hot air balloons float by (seriously). It's a magical place. We love to cook so we enjoyed the gourmet kitchen but most importantly, we couldn't get enough of the large redwood table that sits outside under a huge oak tree. It became our favorite gathering place each night to taste wine, watch the kids play bocce ball, and enjoy some bites. While the pool and hot tub were being built and not open yet, this will surely be a great addition to an already fantastic home. Our group is very active so the location was perfect for an afternoon bikeride or a scenic jog around the prestigious neighborhood. Close to Healdsberg, we were minutes away from great shops, cafes and wine-tasting. I highly recommend booking Tertulia for your next visit to the wine country. We never wanted to leave!

We enjoyed spectacular views from this beautiful classic house which is located in close proximity to breathtaking wineries and lovely, picturesque little towns.
The house itself is bright, stunning and spacious with a large, open kitchen perfect for socialising and preparing meals, a refreshing pool for cooling off during the day and a hot tub for warming up at night! We had wonderful big dinners outside in the evenings, dining under a canopy of trees.
The property and the house are extremely impressive and it was truly a memorable weekend - we only wished we could have stayed longer.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at Tertulia during a three day wine tour. It is a very special place, and with a pool overlooking the vineyard it's hard to gather up the motivation to leave the property at all.
The house has everything you could hope for, with a large chef's kitchen, plenty of entertaining space, and beautiful grounds that are perfect for an evening meal on the huge outdoor wooden table.

Beautiful setting for a beautifully appointed home. Works very well for a large gathering- but would be lovely for a more intimate getaway as well. Lots of space to spread out and settle into. Great location with easy access to the best of Sonoma!

When we entered the gates at Tertulia at amber Ridge we knew that this was going to be a special. The lush gardens were in bloom with roses everywhere. The property was well-manicured that was unlike any rental property that we had ever stayed in. We have a large family and this property had something for everyone. As soon as I saw the porch I knew that that would be a great spot for reading a book but I noticed other family members eying the spectacular pool area. The house was convenient to Healdsburg and the less touristy wineries of Sonoma County. We also found wonderful restaurants and shops in Healdsburg which was a short hop from the house. The extra touches like a fully stocked kitchen where my niece made spectacular chocolate merlot cupcakes that we all devoured. The furnishings were contemporary and pristine with artful touches like a beautiful Oriental rug. I have no doubt that our family will be back to Tertulia at amber Ridge for another perfect family gathering.

The moment we arrived we knew we had chosen the right place! This is the perfect getaway to take in the wine country, like it should be...right in the heart of Sonoma Valley, minutes away from the Healdsburg Town Square.
This estate is nestled into several hundred acres of spectacular vineyards, with views off in the distance of Mt. St Helena and the neighboring hillsides. From sunrise to sunset, the setting, the views, and the character of this estate property connects you to the best of the Healdsburg area.
There is no reason to leave the property - we spread out and enjoyed all of the amenities of the home and grounds. Inside the comforts of the home, the relaxed luxury and technology supported our needs, combined with a commercial kitchen allowing us to create many memorable dinners.
Outside the grounds and amenities created the ideal setting for us to cook and entertain al fresco, find a quite nook or shady tree to read a book or grab a quick siesta, or just sit around the beautful pool and spa.
We left with great memories and can't wait to get back to Tertulia at amber Ridge!
