Description

With three levels of rustic cabin charm to accommodate plenty of friends and family, or even a business getaway, Bear Creek Cabin has it all. Located just 9 miles from Cleveland and only 17 miles from Alpine Helen and so many fun-filled activities, this is a great place to stay to be close to it all and away from it all at the same time.

Bear Creek Cabin is your “fun-and-games” destination. Late in the evening, or if the weather isn’t cooperating with your outdoor plans, you will still have plenty to do inside to keep everyone entertained. The lower level boasts a game room with a slate pool table, DirecTV satellite programming, streaming services (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Sling, etc.), portable, wireless Bluetooth speaker for streaming music, DVD player and X-Box. There is also a small fridge so you don’t have to trek up to the kitchen for snacks and drinks.

There are plenty of board games, card games and movies provided for your entertainment, as well as five televisions located throughout the cabin on all three levels. Please feel free to bring your own x-box games and use our console for gaming.

In addition to the game room, there is a second master bedroom and full bath on the lower level. Further sleeping options include twin bunk beds, sofas and a futon. The laundry area is also located on the lower level. Step out onto the patio and relax on the lower sun deck with seating and a propane firepit. There is also access to the wood-burning firepit area from the lower level and main level.

With a complete wrap around deck on the main level, plus a patio and sun deck off the lower level, there’s plenty of ways to access the great outdoors. We’re a wildlife-friendly cabin and you will see plenty of birds and other woodland creatures and, sometimes, even deer and bears. Follow the stone path leading down to the brick wood-burning firepit for an evening of relaxing, conversation and, of course, s’mores. Or head on down to the wooded walking trail leading you along the creek and on to the waterfall. Wanting to soak the day away? You can relax in the outdoor hot tub or take a soak in the indoor jacuzzi in the main level master bath.

On the main level, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, a large bedroom and full bath with tiled shower and separate jacuzzi tub. The stone fireplace soars to the cathedral ceilings and an actual tree post graces the living room. The fireplace is propane. Two adjacent walls of windows bring the outdoors in, and you can access the wrap-around deck from the front and the back of the main level.

The living room has DirecTV satellite programming, a Blu-ray/DVD player and streaming services (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Sling, etc.). The kitchen is open to the living room while the bar provides additional seating. The dining room’s large table, benches and chairs make mealtime easy and fun. On the main level deck, there is a propane gas grill. Located off the front deck, there’s also a charcoal grill, if you prefer

(bring your own charcoal).

Head up the branch-spindled stairs to another separate bedroom and full bath giving you a secluded space to get away for some quiet reflection at the end of the day. Adjacent windows allow for sunlight to fill the room and offers an outdoor treetop view. There’s also DirecTV and available streaming services on the upper level.

The cabin has been recently renovated and redecorated to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for your relaxation and enjoyment. We’ve included the perfect spot for a selfie moment or two with “Zada the Bear” on the front porch. Be sure to tag us in your photos with #zadathebear #bearcreekcabin

Pets are allowed under the following conditions:

There is a $75 + tax non-refundable pet fee for each pet, limit 2 dogs.  Maximum weight limit of 30 pounds per pet and pets must be crated if left alone on the property. Please pick up and dispose of your pet’s waste from the yard. Waste bags are provided under the kitchen sink.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
