We believe it's a wonderful experience to become a part of the local community on your vacation to Hawaii island. That it is charming to wake up to the sounds of birds in the backyard and to return home to the warmth and privacy of a home instead of a hotel lobby. And that the smiles and greetings of passers by in the neighborhood provide our vacationers with a genuine feeling of connectedness to the community.
Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood across from the Hilo airport, our two bedroom-one bath cottage is spacious, clean and affordable for couples, families and friends. Our home features a spacious living room to gather in and plan out your days events, and french doors that open up to a covered lanai where you can sit and enjoy coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening after a long day of sightseeing. We offer a a full kitchen to prepare your favorite island breakfast or a meal on the go, a bathtub to clean up the kids, and TV's in each room for a little down time and privacy at the end of the day.

Parking is located behind the house and an outdoor attachment contains a washer/dryer for your convenience. We offer a home and are not a party house. Please no smoking, pets, and loud noise.

This cottage was a surprise. The outside doesn't give the greatest impression, but the interior is very well finished. It's also quite spacious for the size!
The furnishings were lovely and obviously very well cared for.
The sofa bed in the lounge could do with instructions on how to pull out.
No kettle: we like to drink hot tea and had to boil water in a pan, which made pouring difficult.
But these are only minor points.
The owner was quick to answer any queries and sorted out a booking issue in rapid time.
If we stay in Hilo again we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
1 final thing - beware of the roosters in the area which love to wake up around 5.30am!
