This 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath home in the beautiful Palmetto Dunes Resort comes with all the personal touches of home, but none of the work. Enjoy the luxury of a Caribbean resort while remaining in the Low Country. The backyard features a wrap around pool and tiered deck that empties down to a fresh water lagoon.
Drive up the circle drive encompassed by the long limbs of the Live Oak flourishing in its center. As you enter the home your eye will immediately be drawn out through the wall to wall sliding glass doors to the two level deck leading to the lagoon.
Before going outside you must pass through the Great Room with lush sofas to lounge on and take in the calming view. Hints of bamboo, raffia, and African sculptures encompass the dark wood armoire that holds a Flat Screen TV. Don't forget to check out the BOSE Radio/CD player. To the left of the Great Room sits a new wood Brunswick Pool Table, which will make anyone in your party want to play!
Stepping outside, the first level of the wood deck is home to a new BBQ for all your grilling needs. There is an outdoor table with seating for six. Step onto the cascading staircase which runs down to the lagoon. Stop at the azure pool for some fun in the sun. Proceed to the dock where you can pull up a boat, cast a lure, or just sit on the bench and take in the serene surroundings. Across the lagoon is the 13th hole of the Trent Jones Golf Course for the golfer in the group.
Enter the house this time through the screened in back porch. Turn up the fan and cool off after a day in the sun. Walking inside the home you leave the Low Country and are transported to the French Country side. This black granite counter topped and oak cabinetry kitchen is a cooks dream. There is an abundance of counter space and stainless steel appliances for your use. Be sure to make use of the oversized island, ideal for extra chopping room or serving. If eating is more your thing, pull up to the raised stone tiled table with enough seating for 12 and dig in!
Leaving the kitchen you will pass the ½ bath before reaching Bedroom 1, the downstairs master bedroom. Step out the sliding glass door to a second floor balcony. Look to the left for a lush view of Palmetto Dunes. For winter visitors, you will be treated to a distant ocean view. The private shower/bath is accented with antiqued white wood and ivory stone.
The main feature of the 3rd Bedroom is the Dark Cherry Wood 4 Post King Bed. The room features a mounted Flat Screen TV/DVD. Guests can access the bathroom from the room or the hall to enjoy the walk-in shower and raised oval sink.
The 4th Bedroom shares the second floor balcony which has seating for two to enjoy the view. Curl up in the brightly colored floral Queen Bed and be transported to a Caribbean paradise. The flat screen TV/DVD sits upon a 5 drawer dresser next to the walk-in closet. The private walk-in shower bathroom is lush with green wood and black marble décor.
Open the double doors to the 5th Bedroom and feast your eyes on the intricately carved King Size wood sleigh bed. The windows open to a side home and partial backyard view. A flat screen TV/DVD, walk-in closet, and pineapple décor accents complete the room. The private bathroom has a black marble walk-in shower.

We had a wonderful experience. The house is very nice and perfect for a larger family. We enjoyed all the amenities the house had to offer. The pool was very enjoyable and the views we're beautiful. The house is nicely decorated and very clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great house & perfect location!
The home, pool, lagoon and deck were incredible. All accommodations surpassed our expectations.
The beach was a 2 minute ride on a bike. Cocos on the beach is only 5 minutes on the bike: a must-see while on the island (fun atmosphere, good food and great service). The staff of Palmetto dunes were friendly and helpful. The shortcut to the Piggly Wiggly is easy to find and worth taking the bikes for (only a 2 minute ride to the grocery store or for pizza, very convenient).
We hope to return to the island soon.

The house was fantastic. The best overall house and anemities that we have had in the last 3 years of renting on HH. Pool and patio set up was good. The screened in patio was a nice added attraction. Pool table allowed us adults a nice addition after the kids were put to bed. Only drawback is distance to beach for the younger folks with little children & beach stuff.

Sunset rentals called a few days before our trip to wlecome us and to make sure we had everything we needed.
We really appreciated that and have never had any other rental company to do anything like that.
Our vacation on Palmetto Dunes plantation was fantastic!!!
Our family vacations in HHI once or twice yearly.
The property was spacious (5 BR 5 Bath), very clean, with a kitchen stocked with everything needed for meals.
Shopping, grocery stores, restaurants were all within a three to five minute drive from the house.
What we enjoyed most was being able to walk through the neighborhood and just enjoy the beautiful trees and fresh air. The house also had a pool table and a media room.
The home was well stocked with about seven board games. The rainy days meant we still had a lot to do within the home.
We would highly recommend Hilton Head Island, SC and Sunset rentals to guarantee a fantastic vacation.
We have decided to use Sunset rentals exclusively for our vacations in Hilton Head Island, SC.
