We went to Hilton Head with another family and had a total of 8 people in the house. The house was huge, even for the 8 of us. There were plenty of bedrooms and the extra living space allowed the kids to hang out by themselves, when they desired. The accommodations were adequate with the exception of the kitchen area. They were very light on cooking pots and pans. The view and access to the beach was 2nd to none. Highly recommend this house to anyone in the future. Working with Hilton Head Rentals was a breeze. They were prompt and courteous.

House has a great view on a nice beach. deck area is older and lacks maintenance. Several members of our party had to remove splinters from deck. Tv in main area quit working the first dy. We were advised that the ould have to get OK from owner to replace. No TV the entire week. Pool heater quit after one day. Once again advised that owner OK was needed. No heater for the rest of the trip. Rental company did rufund money paid for heater. If you want to lay out on the deck, ring your own chairs. Chairs in picture are long gone. One lounge chair, a couple of plastic chairs and a metal set ith pads that are thread are.

We thought we could use the elevator and discovered we could not. We are 65 and over and really needed the elevator for that home.
Had a problem with the oven door-they tried to fix it-but could not. If we could use the elevtor we would stay there again it was a lovely place. Renee at the realty company was excellant to work with.
We plan on going to HH next year but will not stay there if we cannot use the elevator, Would not recommend it baed on the elevator not in use.

Love the location and the house. We've been there before and really like the area. My biggest complaint was the over all condition of the house. It was pretty banged up. The
walls needed painting, the deck needed repair (small child got splinters) and the outdoor furniture needed to be replaced. I'm sure continueous rental makes it hard to do repairs but maybe not renting for a week every so many weeks would help keep it in better shape. The layout and style od house is great.

Pros: Price was reasonable. Place was clean. Beds were comfortable. It was on the ocean.
Cons: Kitchenware was sparse, The outdoor furniture, what there was of it, was downright shabby. General maintenance around the pool area was lacking. I could overlook the foregoing, but having no elevator is a deal killer.

Overall the beach house was decent.
The main complaint was the outdoor area. The outdoor patio/deck needs alot of work. There are nails sticking out of boards which is very dangerous and the wood decking needs to be replaced/refinished. There was NO place to lay out as one of the lounge chairs was completely broken and there was only one other one to lay on. The remainder of the chairs are very old & full of mold. Also, the seat custions were not useable. They were all ripped and very dirty. The grill was also a mess. There is no way any family would have cooked on it as it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.
The inside of the house was in better shape. There were areas of the house that needed to be looked at but overall it wasn't bad. I would say that in the living room a decent size TV is needed as what is currently there is not acceptable to the large groups that stay in this house. Also, the kitchen needs dishtowels, oven mitts, etc.
We probably wouldn't stay in this home again as the outdoor area is very small. It made it very difficult to entertain outdoors which is why most people rent a beach house right on the beach. The best part of this home was the beautiful view!
"If we were coming back to Hilton Head, we would certainly rent t"

What a fantastic time we had. The rental had more than enough room for our entire family. The location on the beach was perfect. The kids and the grown ups really had a time crabbing with chicken legs. Overall, a terrific vacation experience!

This house was a mess. The ceilings had water stains. The pool area had garbage from prior rentals, the air in-take vents all had dust build up (as if not cleaned all summer). We also had a large rat living in the fire palce. Rat dropping all over the floor. The vacum cleaner did not work the kitchen was a mess. We arrived a night before the rest over our family. My wife and I cleaned the entire night to make it presentable. I can go on about the condition of the house. For the money we paid it was very disapointing.
Also very disapointed in how Holton Head Retals & Golf handled the situation. I do not beleive we would rent from them again. Read more
I sincerely regret your negative experience at 2 Collier Beach Rd. We take the cleanliness of our homes very seriously and in the future please advise us immediately of any cleaning issues upon arrival. Unfortunately – with regard to the rat, this was an isolated issue which, once brought to our attention, was handled immediately. The owner of the home went to considerable expense to seal every opening in the house. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused. This is a beautiful home and I apologize again for your disappointing stay.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience as it helps us improve for future guest and it is my hope that we will have the opportunity to host you again on Hilton Head Island!
