A glorious retreat in a vacation paradise awaits you with this exciting 4 Bedroom/ 4 Bath home in Sea Pines which directly overlooks the 13th Tee of the world famous Harbourtown Golf Links. The very private and scenic backyard offers a beautiful, sunny pool * & spa * framed by oaks and pine trees. Beyond the pool* is a picturesque view of the 13th tee and the start of the fairway. Equally impressive is the front of this awesome home offering a private, tropical walled-in brick courtyard. This courtyard offers a beautiful fountain, palms, plantings and elegant, decorative wrought iron gates that beckon you to enter your vacation getaway retreat.
Upon entering the two story foyer with skylight, you step onto a travertine stone floor which takes you into the stunning living room. To your immediate left you will find the newly added half bath. Through the hallway you are immediately drawn into the gorgeous living room, for the view is spectacular. Four large, virtually floor to ceiling windows provide an incredible view of the pool*, spa* and fairway. Once inside the living area, you'll find a cathedral ceiling enhancing the luxurious feel created by a decorative marble fireplace, stunning armoire and beautiful furnishings. Off the living room may be the next most popular room, a Media room. Here you'll find a 56"" large screen TV and ample seating via various sectional pieces providing comfortable theater viewing. Also, from the media room, you will have a startling view of the beautiful courtyard.
The large, bright country kitchen has an island/breakfast bar with three cushioned wrought iron bar stools. The kitchen is designed with country finished cabinets, black appliances, silestone countertops and complimentary colored floor tiles. A spacious wood and wrought iron kitchen table with six chairs surrounded with views of the courtyard will make this a favorite gathering place. For more formal dining there is a separate dining room with circular glass top table and six high back, cushioned, tapestry chairs with a view of the courtyard.
The first floor bedrooms consist of a bedroom located off of the living room offering a King bed, private bath, with granite countertops and a new shower with a rain shower head and a second shower head. The second bedroom could be called the ""dorm room"" for this is the room the kids will claim as theirs. There are two sets of bunk beds. Each has a double bed at the lower level and a twin bed at the upper level, so in total six children can sleep here. The bedroom offers a TV, VCR. The private bath has recently been remodeled and has a tub and flexible shower head.
Upstairs, there is a large landing that offers a desk with wireless internet and a rattan lounge chair. Off this landing are the separate entrances to two more bedrooms. The first offers a King sleigh bed and beautiful matching furniture including an armoire with TV, VCR and stereo. There is also a small private balcony. The large private bath has an oversized Jacuzzi tub, separate shower and dressing table area. The fourth bedroom also offers a King bed, matching furniture and armoire with TV and DVD player. This room also has a small private balcony. The private bath offers a shower.
*Pool & Spa may be heated upon request for an additional charge with two weeks advance notice.
Enjoy all the amenities that Sea Pines has to offer including the Harbourtown Marina, South Beach and Sea Pines Beach Club which are all easily accessible from this fabulous home.

The house was very nice, and it was on a nice location on the golf course. It wasn't that close to the water, but the kids used their rental bikes and the rental car to go to them and the shopping areas while we were out golfing!
We had a few issues with the housekeeping, however. The carpets not only needed to be vacuumed better, but there were many spots, especially on the stairs. There was a light fixture in the room with the bunk beds that was hanging by a thread. And, the most disconcerting, there were many bugs (cockroaches and cicadas) and spiders. The spiders were so prevalent in the TV room that we had to stop using it!
Additionally, the barbecue didn't work right and after about 45 minutes we had to move our chicken into the oven! The kitchen appliances were older and not in the best shape, but for the most part they were adequate.
All that said we enjoyed the house. It was large enough for our two families (4 adults and 4 teenagers) and the pool was lovely after a day of hot and humid weather!

The house was nice and location was very nice. We had some issues with cockroaches though which freaked out the women in the group. The trash cans were full of them and every morning we were greeted by one or two in the kitchen.
My wife and i slept in the bottom bunks in the kids room(kids slept on top) and they were very uncomfortable. Also, there were no dressers to put our clothes so we ended up living out of the suitcases all week. Rearrange the furniture to make room for a dresser and a queen bed in the kids room. Maybe put the dresser in the Closet. In the bathroom off the kids room, there is no place to put your toiletries--put a small dresser/vanity in the bathroom so you have somewhere to put your tootbrushes/toothpaste, shaving cream/razor, makeup, etc...
Next time, we would like to get a house with 5 bedrooms and closer to the beach, but these get very expensive. How about a discount/loyalty program for returning guests? This was the second time we rented from HHRG.

This home is FANTASTIC. Great layout, right on the Sea Pines course, beautiful pool, what more can you say. A perfect home and a perfect location. (Only one minor issue, the outdoor grill was old, small, and did not get hot at all. It was hard to cook anything more than a hot dog on it.) Read more
