We love Sea Pines and intend on staying there again but our rental was okay. The house itself was really beautiful. The pool was nice and the privacy and quiet were unbeatable. Unfortunately, the housekeeping crew was mediocre at best. I had to come in behind them and do a little cleaning of my own. Their was still debris on the floor from the previous renters and their was hair on the floor in the bathroom. I was not happy with the fact that I had to have a maintenance crew in twice to fix the shower in one of the bathrooms. The shower head was dangling from the wall. I expected more from a company that rented the house to us after I paid so much to be there. They don't supply you with enough bath towels for a week either. I had to pay extra for more than one washcloth per person for the week. One of the bed frames had been broken and the bed frame was screwed permanently to the bed frame with the head lower than the feet. I woke up with a headache every day until I realized what the problem was then I had to go out and get pavers to prop the bed up with. There was poison ivy all over the place outside so you had to be careful where you were so you didn't brush up against it. On the flip side, the kitchen was nicely equipped for us and we love to cook. It has a gas stove and a large fridge. The ice maker was slow and produced very little ice. The dishes were nice though. The screened in porch was the place we spent the most time. It has a gas grill that we used quite a bit. Overall the house itself had lots of room to spread out and hang out. The location was perfect for us as well. It would probably be great for someone that isn't a clean freak like me.
Destination Vacation and the owner of 24 N. Live Oak take great pride in the quality and condition of this home. We welcome critical feedback and comments, but making false statements and implying that this vacation home is unsafe, not well maintained and limited in offerings is offensive and unfair. We have never had complaints on housekeeping, although we have shared this feedback with the housekeeping supervisor. We clearly outline on our website the exact number of towels provided in each home and this home includes a laundry room with full size washer and dryer. The shower head was not dangling but instead a circular piece that covers the hole in which the shower head pipe comes out of the wall was out of place. We sent someone to the house to make this repair but the guest would not allow them access to the bathroom. They were, however, allowed to evaluate the un-even bed, and it was measured and determined to be completely level. The house is landscaped on a weekly basis, and there is no evidence of poison ivy on the premises. This review caught us completely by surprise because it is so inconsistent with other guest experiences at this home. We encourage all potential guests to read all reviews related to each property they are considering.

We had an excellent time at 24 North Live Oak. We want to congratulate the owners for such a beautiful and well equipped property.
This house is located at a walking distance from the beach (10 min). The layout and floor plan is ideal for family activities, and also provides private space to relax and rest.
The decoration of the house is perfect and reflects the true spirit of a beach house. The quality of the silver ware, plates, glasses, pillows, decorations and accesories was evident. We found everything we needed. This is what we called a true full "equipped" house.
We spent 3/4 of our day at the pool, every day! The space is ideal to relax and watch the kids swim. The covered porche area "excellent". The built in BBQ "excellent" also. We ended up grilling most of the time to take advantage of the ideal setting.
The service provided by Destination Vacation was excellent. Example: We had one big storm one night and the pool got dirty overnight because of the surrounded trees. We called Destination vacation and we had someone at the house within the hour. It does not get better than that!
This property is a keeper! We will definitely come back...

Our family had a wonderful time this year in Hilton Head. The house at 24 N. Live Oak was perfect. We fit comfortably and made great use of the pool. The kids loved it! We have rented houses and condos in Hilton Head on and off since the mid 70's and this house was as good as it gets. A quiet neighborhood and easy access to the beach path made our vacation enjoyable for all. Destination vacation made it as easy as possible before and during our stay. We can't wait till next summer. The Susskind's, Bay Shore, Long Island, NY

This home was recommended by the folks at Destination Vacation, they always take great care of us. The home was perfect for our family. The bedrooms were seperated enough to offer privacy for each of our three family's. The kitchen was large, and the family room was oversized and offered plenty to entertain everyone. Plenty of space with a wonderful screened in patio overlooking the pool. Our grandsons loved the pool and the adults enjoyed the quiet setting looking out on the golf course. We were close enough to the beach that we were able to ride our bikes over to there every day. Sea Pines is such a great area and offers so much from golf to beach to shopping to restaurants that you never need to leave the gated property. My family has been coming to Hilton Head for many years and we always have a fabulous time.
I would highly recommend the professional staff at Destination Vacation. They make it very easy to arrange a great vacation on Hilton Head Island.
