“Outstanding Views...not so much for the furnishings!”

We love the Sea Crest on the beach in Hilton Head. We stay there every year. Staying on the beach with an ocean front view comes at a price, which I do not have a problem with as long as the quality is top notch. I did not think this was the case for unit 3405. The view was outstanding! The furnishings were rode hard & put away wet. That beautiful white sectional sofa in the living room is dirty! We never sat on it! It needs to be cleaned or kicked to the curb asap. The carpeting in the master bedroom is also dirty and needs to be cleaned or replaced. If you're going to charge a premium price then have the furnishings to back it up. The amount of patio furniture on the balcony was insane. In that space they had a table with 4 chairs, along with 2 chaise loungers and then an end table. We moved some of this furniture into the living room just so 3 people could walk out onto the balcony! Speaking of the balcony, not cleaned in a long time. We did a full wipe down and swept before we could sit out there and enjoy our view. The unit was rented up until Tues, & we moved in on Sat. This amount of dirt could never have built up over 3 days. An issue that really put a bad taste in my mouth was the fact that the owner of 3405 would not take the weekly rate for adding on 1 night to our stay. I called the Vacation Company to ask if I could add Fri night to my stay, they said yes, but the owner would not accept the weekly rate for that night, only the "per Day” rate which was much higher. Looks like the owner wanted to gouge his renter of as much $ as possible! Instead,we got a nice room with an ocean view at the Hilton for that night, and we got a very generous military discount! I did like receiving my key code info and welcome package prior to my stay. The Vacation Company does a nice job with that. All in all I will continue to stay at the Sea Crest using the Vacation Company to book my stay, but I will not rent from 3405 for the many reasons stated above.

We've stayed at the Seacrest on the ocean twice and have been very happy both times. All check in info was mailed prior which made things very easy when getting there. The unit is even nicer than it looks on the internet pics. We had 3 adults and 3 chidren and had more than enough room. It's very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The view from the ocean is spectacular from the master bedroom, living room and the private balcony off of the second bedroom. It's conveniently located near the elevator which brings you to the parking lot & pools. The owners left plenty of extra beach chairs, boogie boards, floats, etc. Everything you could possibly need is there for a great vacation. Shopping & restaurants are just across the street. We will definately be back!
