Guests have use of the entire house which is located in a quiet residential neighborhood - I live in a separate cottage on the property.

Additional Location Information

Florida City is the southernmost town on the Florida mainland and is contiguous with the city of Homestead to the north. Florida's Turnpike ends and the Overseas Highway to the Keys starts here. Key Largo is less than an hour away, and Key West is approximately two and half hours. Downtown Miami is less than an hour - South Beach about an hour. And Everglades National Park is only about fifteen minutes away!

Nearby in North Key Largo is the world-famous Gilbert's Resort, located at the very start of the Gulf of Mexico on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Biscayne National Park and Biscayne Bay are close by. You can launch your boat at the public ramps 15 minutes away in Bayfront Park, Gilbert's, Key Largo and other places.

In Key Largo you can snorkel and take glass-bottom boat tours of North America's only barrier reef and the famous bronze statue "Christ of the Abyss." Most other common water sports are available too. Divers can explore the many wrecks and scuttled ships off the coast in deeper waters. There are a huge number of great fishing locations and charters as well. .

Canoeing, kayaking, sailing and boating independently and with guides or charters are available - some in Everglades National Park and others in Key Largo and elsewhere.

In Miami you can take advantage of anything one of America's great cities has to offer. From shopping and dining in Coconut Grove to the scene in South Beach to the Miami Symphony Orchestra, concerts, theater, opera and other cultural activities at the Arsht Center and many other venues, it's a quick trip north on Florida's Turnpike.

Locally, people come from all over for the authentic Mexican cuisine and the exotic tropical fruits and vegetable stands and plant nurseries from some of the best farmland in the country.
