This upstairs home was built with local cedar wood both inside and out.

Conveniently located near groceries, post office and eateries. The home is surrounded by century old oak trees. There are two beds in the bedroom, one queen and one double, double sized Flexsteel sofa sleeper in the living room. One bath with shower has two sinks set into a beautiful copper countertop created by a local artist. Kitchen comes complete with diswasher. Fireplaces (one with candles and the other with electric log & flame) in both the living and bed rooms and skylights thruout. Old Homosassa is a Waterfronts Florida Community made up of a number of resturants, marinas, small hotels and shops. Originally known for its excellent fishing and hunting, this small community continues to draw people of all ages and walks of life. The Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is located nearby and is a place everyone should visit. The boat tour and rental company (River Safaris) located next door provides airboat rides, pontoon boat tours and boat rentals. Nautical themed crafts and art works are on display in the retail gift shop.
There are many hiking, bikiung, birding, canoe and kayak trails.
Tampa and Orlando are both about 80 miles away with parkways and turnpikes that make acess easy and quick.
MANATEES gather in our clear water springs area during the winter and people come from all over the world to swim with them. During the summer SCALLOPING season friends and families gather to go the the Gulf of Mexico to hunt scallops under the water like you are looking for easter eggs!
And all the times in between can be spendt discovering the history, boating, birdwatching, in this old Florida town.
