Description

Top Deck Cottage is a direct Oceanfront Studio tucked just behind the ocean dune, steps from the beach. It's a perfect stay for one or two people in a very desirable just location three miles south of Hope Town.

Most mornings start with beautiful sunrises over the ocean. Enjoy the amazing deck around the property which is covered to the east of the cottage and has a gazebo on the west side. The cottage is within easy walking distance of Abaco Inn. There are three small grocery stores on the island, but some guest prefer to shop in Marsh Harbour before getting on the ferry for Elbow Cay. The picturesque Hope Town settlement, famous for the candy striped light house, is about a 15 minute golf cart ride. Golf carts and boats are available for rent from several places in the area. We have rebuilt our dock and can accommodate boats up to 24 feet. Sometimes stern anchoring may be necessary

If you have not yet experienced the Abaco islands you will be truly amazed at the crystal clear water and beautiful islands. The people are friendly and helpful making this a top-notch vacation destination.

Internet is not provided in the cottage, but most restaurants on Elbow Cay have wifi available for their patrons. Some visitors are bringing an unlocked cellphone from home and purchasing a weekly or monthly Bahamian cell phone plan. The rates are reasonable. SIM cards can be purchased in Marsh Harbour, but after the initial purchase, minutes and more data can be added remotely. Many visitors are choosing an Aliv plan because it seems to work best on Elbow Cay.

Address and Location

There are no street addresses on Elbow Cay. Houses are defined by a house name and a description of their location. Sea Oats Cottage is located a few lots south of Abaco Inn on the oceanside of the road. It has a circular sand drive around a silver buttonwood tree. (If you are renting a golf cart, just tell the rental agency the name of the cottage and that is is just south of Abaco Inn.)
