Welcome to "Bower Place", our lovingly restored 1930s cottage, located in a residential area just minutes from Historic Downtown and Bathhouse Row.
Our cottage has been fully updated, and features an open kitchen/living combo design with great eating bar. It is comfortably furnished and tastefully appointed with art and decor from world travels by the owner. Bower Place sleeps up to four guests and features a master bedroom with king size bed, a second bedroom with queen size bed, and one full bath. Guests will also enjoy the delightful covered front porch, complete with period style Adirondack chairs. The property is located on a spacious residential corner lot, across the street from forest that is part of Hot Springs National Park.
Hot Springs is the only American city nestled within a National Park and takes its name from the natural thermal waters that flow from 47 springs on the western slope of Hot Springs Mountain in the Historic Downtown District. It is known as America's first resort, and is the boyhood home of President Bill Clinton. Hot Springs is rated number four of the Best Small Art Towns in America. We often think of Hot Springs as the land of 10,000 things to do. In addition, it is just 45 minutes from Little Rock and the airport!
Hot Springs has been a tourist mecca for generations and boasts, in addition to the thermal waters of the springs, great restaurants, live music/concerts/theater, art galleries and events, botanical gardens, horse racing at Oaklawn, family fun at Magic Springs and Crystal Falls, antiquing, riverboat cruises and lots of shopping! In a nutshell... it's the whole package, a great vacation destination or lifestyle choice for retirees or an entire family!
Hot Springs is also surrounded by three lakes...Hamilton, Catherine and Ouachita, formed by dams on the Ouachita River. The lakes offer world-class fishing, boating and swimming!
Come for a weekend or a week, or more. You will find so many wonderful things to do and the beauty of the area is unsurpassed every season of the year!
HOT SPRINGS MAJOR ATTRACTIONS & DISTANCES FROM BOWER PLACE:
Historic Downtown & Bathhouse Row: 1.5 miles or 7 minutes
Oaklawn Race Track: 3.7 miles or 15 minutes
Magic Springs and Crystal Falls: 4.1 miles or 12 minutes

Additional Note on BOWER PLACE: Our restored 1930s cottage is located on Bower, an older residential street in Hot Springs, featuring mostly smaller bungalows and cottages of the 1920s and 1930s. Some of these properties (including ours) have been nicely restored, while a few others are still "diamonds in the rough", waiting for creative restoration. If you are seeking a relaxing, residential location, with older homes and long-term neighbors, yet just minutes from the 'traffic, noise, hubbub and excitement' of the Historic Downtown District, with it's unique dining, art galleries, shops, live entertainment and Bathhouses, you will LOVE Bower Place. If, on the other hand, you are seeking a private gated, condominium and/or resort style accommodation, featuring new or newer construction on or near the water or golf, further away from the Historic Downtown District and Bathhouse Row, please consider an alternative rental choice for your vacation planning. There were 3 adults in our party and we all marveled that we slept better than we did at home during our stay at Bower Cottage. The house has been very nicely redone and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will use the cottage again as we have family in Hot Springs. The house was very convenient to family, shopping and food.

This was my second stay at Bower Cottage. It has always been a welcoming and wonderful place to stay. The cottage is clean, comfortable and quiet. It feels like being right at home, much better than a hotel. The cottage is off the main street in Hot Springs but only minutes to anywhere you might want to go. I think the trade-off for peace and quiet is worth taking a short drive. Give it try; you will love it!

We loved Bower Cottage! It was very clean and very comfortable. We also loved being close to downtown, yet feeling secluded when we were at the property. Owner was quick to communicate and was incredibly friendly. When we make it back to Hot Springs, we will definitely reserve this property again.

This home was so charming... perfect for our needs. My husband and I brought our 7 year old to Hot Springs for a quick 3-day vacation to visit Magic Springs/Crystal Falls. The Bower House was convenient to everything, very clean, nicely decorated. Beds (one king and one queen) were extremely comfortable. Large kitchen, eating area, den. We will definitely be coming back to this home when we return to Hot Springs!

My sister and I rented the cottage for a short get-away in Hot Springs. The cottage ended up being the best part of the vacation for me. It was so cute, clean, and peaceful. I felt so at home and loved just relaxing around the place. It was also close to Historic downtown and hiking trails. I would recommend it to anyone!

I am one of those accursed neatniks. I straighten out towels on racks at home, I arrange & fluff pillows "just so". This home was perfect and I mean p-e-r-f-e-c-t! I was blown away by how beautifully it was decorated and how amazingly clean it was. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. If we're ever back in Hot Springs I'll stay there. No... I'll find out when this home is available and schedule my stay so I can be there!

This cottage is less than 5 minutes from downtown Hot Springs, but it is in a quiet, treelined neighborhood. The kitchen is well furnished including lots of condiments for some easy cooking. Clean house, comfortable beds, thoughtful supply of cleaning and paper products are all there. If you should have a problem, the owner is so courteous and responsive. I would definitely stay here again and recommend in to my friends.
I loved the layout of the two bedrooms that provided privacy and peace with more than one person in the house. Love the super-quiet neighborhood.

We were very pleased with our stay at this delightful little cottage. The property description was accurate; kitchen well supplied, beds so comfy, decor and furnishings very up to date.
The location was just a very few minutes from town and was still very quiet as it borders the park. The neighborhood is older, so it is hit and miss on other property restorations, but was very peaceful and secure.
We are looking forward to booking this adorable cottage again!

The rental process was super simple, the house is located in an older neighborhood but we felt safe staying there. The inside was exactly like pictured; even better. The only disappointment was that it was only available one day. Would definitely stay there again.

I've been in several rental homes over the past years and this is probably the most well stocked rental I've ever been in. It had everything that we needed and more. Decorated very nice and was perfect for our honeymoon stay.

Our stay was handled with great cooperation before and while we were there, just a call and even the smallest problem was handled at once. We stayed for two and a half months and enjoyed it very much. It is located in a quit spot, on the back side of the National Park. It had all the amenities that you would have at home all on one floor. We enjoyed Hot Springs for all but two days and that was because of an ice storm which I understand does not happen very often. We plan on returning next winter if everything works out
