This is the perfect get away for me. The house is lovely with absolutely everything you could ask for including an enormous TV with satelite channels, a beautiful pool and a big gas BBQ outside.
Inside its furnished nicely and the fully equipped kitchen we used alot.
Beaches are nearby (in a car or motorbike) and after a day at the beach chill at the pool then fire up the barbie. Near Tesco Lotus is a fresh market where you can buy frsh fish and seafood for an absolute pittance. The pool, garden and Bbq's make it for me.
And if you need anything then Brad (the caretaker) who lives a few houses away is always on hand. Read more

We have just returned from 2 weeks of heaven. The villa far exceeded our expectations. it was large and spacious and spotlessly clean. Everything inside the villa is top notch. The gardens are beautifully kept as is the pool which is secluded and not overlooked. If you are after the bright lights forget it but if you after peace and quiet and relaxation you will not find better. However if you want a little more life and bars Hua Hin is only 35 minutes away by car and an easy run in
We hired Carls truck for the 2 weeks and found plenty of places to eat cheaply near the beach which is 10 minutes away.Tesco is also not far by car to pick up the everyday essentials. We had excellent communication from Carl from when we first booked and Sonia and Brad are always on hand for any queries you have who live 2 minutes away.
What more can I say we loved your villa it is indeed a gem.

My husband and I live in Bangkok along with our three month old daughter. We came to the villa originally for four nights and ended up staying six. It was just great for us, and Brad, Sonia and Carl were all very accommodating when we wanted to extend our trip. This place felt more like a home away from home compared to other places we have stayed as the villa is very clean, comfortable and well furnished. Where the villa is situated is a lovely country area and the people in the village are very friendly. You would need a car to get to the beach etc. We have told some of our friends about the place and would definitely go back! Read more

I'm a little late writing this review, however, we cannot tell you enough what a great stay we had here. We stated for 1 week in May. The villa is in a little village and when we drove in off the main road I was a little concerned that it was too remote. Our fears were soon put to rest when we had a drive around and realised howe close it was to the beach, restaurants and town where you can buy anything you need. The villa is spotlessly clean. The 2 bedrooms are massive with King beds plus one set of king single bunks in one room. It was great having a villa as opposed to a hotel as we felt really at home. It was great being able to go to the local market, cook a couple nights, relax, swim - the pool was very clean indeed. As my husband developed a problem with his leg and couldnt walk far, the villa turned out to be just perfect especially having a full sized comfortable lounge to sit on. There are air conditioners, ceiling fans and great pedestal fans in every room and we pretty much had the lounge and dining airs on when we were at home and one bedroom at night. Our electricity account was around aud$70 which was in line with the cost in australia. Anyway, being on holidays I didnt care what it cost as it was really hot when we stayed. The kitchen was well appointed with a lovely large fridge/freezer and gas cook top. Free internet was great. Just do yourself a favour and try this villa, it is in a small community of other expats and Sonia and Brad live close by who are lovely and a great help. I would recommend you have Carl organise the transfer if you are comming from Bangkok and do not have a vehicle as it would be tricky to find this place at night for the 1st time. Also, you will need a care when you are there. I will also take this opportunity to highly recommend the Bangkok International Hospital should anyone require medical attention - they were fantastic! Do yourself a favour and book this gem of a villa, relax, explore the area and enjoy. Read more

we stayed at this house over the Thai Song Kran holiday and totally loved it. The two bedroom house is spacious, the beds are high quality and the entire house is extremely well-equipped. The location is perfect, too: situated between the luscious Sam Roi Yot National Park (scenic beaches, forests and caves to explore) and Khao Kalok beach (very quiet - great for swimming and buying fresh sea food straight off the fishermen's boats for next to nothing). Out of five nights we cooked ourselves for three, in a well appointed kitchen with an aussie grill/BBQ outside, and drove 5 minutes by car to a range of amazingly cheap yet delicious restaurants. It really is the perfect getaway from Bangkok, and I most strongly recommend the house, and the area it is in. The hosts, and all Thai people we met, cannot do enough for you which is another reason we keep coming back to this part of Thailand: close enough to the hustle and bustle of Hua Hin, yet in such a quiet little village to ensure total privacy and peace. I have lived in Thailand for 8 years and have traveled the country extensively, but my last three holidays have all been to the same place, as there is nothing like it anywhere else. Great for families, or a group of friends looking for a different experience; I enjoy the self-catering aspect so much more than staying in some resort, where you are surrounded by staff and you are subjected to designated meal times and choices. For us: the perfect home-away-from-home. Thanks Carl, Sonia and Brad for making us feel so welcome and looking after us all so well - can't wait til the next time! Read more

Stayed for 8 days. House was impecably clean. Brad took very good care of us. Had rental car delivered to house. Beach is 5 minutes on back road. Location is perfect in a small village with a bar/rest./store. Away from the noise. Serene... Without a doubt the best "bang for the buck" we've seen in our travels around the world. Poolside everyday. Thank you Carl. Read more

Booking arrangements for our two weeks with Carl by email was great. As you pay in Baht when you get there we did end up paying a small amount more than the english weekly rate stated due to the exchange rate at the time being less than 50 Baht to the £1. We also asked Carl to arrange the taxi from Bangkok to the villa and for our journey back in advance and it was a great service, the taxi even stopped at the very big Tesco on the way to the villa which was perfect as the last thing we wanted to do after all that travelling & arriving late in the evening was having to sort out where to eat etc. We also arrange to hire his moped in advance which was fun to use. Brad was fantastic, really helpful if you needed any info or help with anything he was always around locally, thanks Brad :+) . The villa is very comfortable & you have all the amenities to relax and enjoy your stay whatever you plan to do. The electic did not cost much at all as there are plenty of fans in the villa which was all we found we needed to use, but expect it would cost alot more if you use the air-con. Although we ate out for dinner most of our stay, the BBQ at the villa is fantastic which we tried out one night when we bought some lovely fresh fish from the Pak Nam Pran market. The pool is a good size & very well maintained as are the gardens. Also a cleaner came to clean a week into our stay and also changed the sheets and took the towels used. Transport of some sort is a necessity if staying here and like to get out & about otherwise you can use the local taxis. It takes between 10-20 mins on the moped to get to the main restruants from the villa & 5-10 mins to the nearest beach. We are big walkers so enjoyed walking to the beach which is about 30 mins but you also have gentle mountainous walks through pineapple fields near the villa which are great too. We cycled quite a bit & went to Pak Nam Pram which takes a lesurely hour each way to do. We had a very relaxing & enjoyable time, thanks. Read more

Escape from floods turned into relaxing vacation.

Life if a series of accidental occurrences and fortuitous events, and one of those happened while we were driving around Pak Nam Pran village, desperately looking for a place to escape from floods in Bangkok. A quick chat on the road with a stranger turned into a one month stay at this beautiful place that helped us to survive inundation of the Thai capital that took place in October-November 2011. We were greeted by Carl's friends Sonia and Brad, who helped us tremendously during our stay.
The place is located about 1.5 km from the beach, bars and restaurants and I highly recommend to hire a vehicle to get around. One piece of advice - hire it from the reputable world-class rent-a-car, such as Budget or avis, otherwise you might have a very unpleasant experience.
The house itself is very clean and well equipped. There were five of us - three adults and two babies and it was perfect for our purposes. The pool is not very big, but good enough for all of us and regularly cleaned and maintained.
Overall, we have really enjoined our stay and definitely will be back some day.

You have struck gold if you are lucky enough to stay in this villa. Gleamingly
clean, well equipped and cool with a lovely garden & pool with a new sala for eating or reading in the shade.
Standing alone (not in a complex) behind electric gates amongst other European owned villas but surrounded by a friendly working Thai village, about 5 mins drive from beaches, bars & restaurants. Not a sophisticated area for those wanting nightlife and a car or bike is essential as are books & Dvds as no TV, not missed by us.
Buy fresh prawns off the fishing boats & have them cooked for you, go to the daily market in Pak Nam Pran for fruit & vegetables, eat cheaply and well at most of the beach road restaurants. Our favourite was Krua Sawaddikarn in the trees by the fishing boats on Khao Kalok beach. When the wind blows, the skill of the kite surfers off the beach is wonderful to watch. Explore and enjoy Thai life.
I wish we were still there and our thanks to Carl & Brad for spoiling us. We will be back!

I cannot say enough about the quality of this villa. Everything was clean, of good quality and well looked after. What you see in the pictures is what you get; my impression from the website before we arrived was that the property would be more compact than it was. It was in fact very spacious and the pool a good size.
My wife, who is Thai and I, having had a busy holiday of travelling to meet family and friends in different parts of the country, spent a few quiet days relaxing here before being joined by more family for the last couple of days.
We were looked after by Carls friends, Brad and Sonia, who were great. Very helpful. On one occasion, we were picked up by Brad from the local market, as the local taxi we had used couldn't pick us up as promised due to having to take someone to hospital. I never managed to stand Brad a beer as he was under the weather our last few days there. Maybe next time Brad!
Finally, I didn't meet Carl in person, we only spoke on the phone, but I was impressed at how accommodating and trusting he was with us.
One piece of advice I would impart to anyone is to hire a vehicle. A moped will get you to the beach and local market, but you'll need 4 wheels to go further afield on days out or to stock up from the TescoLotus. We didn't hire a vehicle from the off and had difficulty getting one from then on as demand was high. Local taxi's didn't prove as cost effective.

Spent 10 days at the home in late October, early November 2011. The house was clean, well furnished, with a sparkling pool. Everything was provided, including cookware and a washing machine. There was no satellite TV, but there was a good selection of Dvds available, and who goes to Thailand to watch TV anyway. I would recommend personal transportation, either a car or motorbike. There are a number of good restaurants locally, and Khao Kolak beach is relatively close. All in all, I would recommend this home highly. Read more

This villa was spotless, very comfortable and there was plenty of space. There is a/c and lots of fans around so the house was a nice cool haven away from the humidity outside. The pool was gorgeous, very private and the garden was maintained beautifully.
Just a short drive were some really nice beach bars and of course the beach, (I recommend Mr Singhs, the food is great!) and in the other direction was Hau Hin, which is really nice to visit ...
I havnt got one bad thing to say about this property, the owners were extremly helpful with the booking /handing over of keys etc and would definately return and recommend it to all of my friends.
