“Fantastic Stay with Friends” The House was ideal for a group of friends and made me feel like royalty for the week!! Swimming pool was well maintained and even managed a drink the local pub "The Woolpack". Overall, Top stay and would highly recommend.

“Beautifully converted mill in a tranquil valley setting” We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Tyas cottage in South Yorkshire. The cottage is nestled in a secluded wooded valley close to Huddersfield in a picturesque setting. The cottage has been imaginatively converted, is very well equipped and there was ample space for me, my husband, our two boys aged 8 and 12, and my 75 year old father. The boys loved exploring and playing in the gardens which are beautifully landscaped. The flowerbeds and vegetable gardens are looked after with great pride, and it was a joy to sit in the swinging seats looking out over the mill pond on a sunny afternoon. Vicky and John have converted the mill to a very high standard, and have furnished it with family heirlooms and antique finds including an incredible four poster bed and an amazing mulberry wood dining table. This creates the feeling that you are staying in a home as opposed to a rental property, and a very comfortable one at that! Favourite moments of our stay include watching a squirrel steal wild strawberries from the plants in the driveway, and enjoying eggs laid by the hens who roam the woods which run down to the river. If you enjoy relaxation and peace and the simplicity of the countryside you will love this cottage and I can't recommend it highly enough.
