There is a patio door that provides easy access from the living room area to the front deck. On the main level there is also a three-piece bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower and one bedroom with a queen bed. From the cottage deck you can walk down steps through the trees to the lake. It's just a short walk from the cottage to the lake. At the shore there is a dock with two Muskoka chairs where you can catch some rays and relax with a good book and a great panorama view of the lake. Relax in the shade on the hammock. If you prefer, take a dip in the lake or try your hand at fishing from the dock. There is a paddle boat and kayak, with lifejackets for four adults and four children that you can use to explore the bay. The shoreline at the cottage is rocky but the water at the shore is shallow and there is a pebbly bottom. The water depth increases gradually but young children will need to be supervised. Historic downtown Huntsville offers a wide variety of shopping, dining, entertainment, and more. The Bay Lake area boasts a great natural attraction - Brooks Falls, a small but scenic and easily accessible waterfall located near Emsdale that has walking trails and beautiful scenery to be enjoyed. Visit the Perry Old-timer museum. Go for a walk or a bike ride down the Park to Park Trail that connects Killbear and Algonquin Provincial Parks. This region doesn't close up in the winter, as many come to the area for cross-country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling. Bay Lake is right next to the snowmobile trail.
