This cabin sits on 10 acres of heavily wooded and sagebrush land. Not a neighbor in sight. Your dog is welcome, there is a doggie door and dog run just for him (summer only). There is an extra nightly fee for dogs. Folding chairs in the mudroom for use on the deck or around the fire pit. Bring your own wood for the fire pit. The ATV and snowmobile trails are just in front of the property of this cabin. Easy access all year round.
Main floor has a kitchen, dining room, living room with propane fireplace, 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a mud room with laundry facilities. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has 2 full beds.
The 2nd floor has a master bedroom loft with a king bed, desk with WiFi internet, sitting area, and master bathroom with walk in shower, claw foot tub, and vanity.
The Standing Pine Lodge is about 37 minutes to the western entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It is south of Henry's Lake about 25 miles and about 7 miles from the Island Park Reservoir. Restaurants, gas stations, Island Park golf course, fishing, hunting, ATV and snowmobile trails, river rafting, horseback riding, and water sports are all just minutes away from the cabin.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur a $75 re-booking fee and will be deducted from the refunded funds. This was our 3rd year in a row we have rented the cabin. We love it because it is away from the crowd and has all the amenities we like and need. It is a great place to just get away and relax. We plan on returning again next year.

Standing Pine is a lovely home, well equipped and comfortable. It's about 6 or 7 miles off Highway 20 on a dusty gravel road, kind of out in the middle of nowhere. You have to remember to think ahead in terms of groceries you may need or things you want to take with you when you leave the house because it's a long way if you have to run out for something or need to backtrack - you can't just walk down to the corner store. The fact that there are no curtains or other coverings on the big front windows is a bit disconcerting since you can see cars going by from the open master suite, but actually nothing is really visible from the road, even with the lights on at night.
Be aware that horses are pastured just down the road from the house and they get out every so often and wind up cropping grass on the "front lawn," if you will. They're fun to watch, and someone from the ranch that owns them eventually comes and herds them home.
Our only issue with the house is that the extremely comfortable bed in the master suite is so high that it's difficult to climb into - it needs a small stepstool on either side to make it more easily accessible. We actually moved a small stepladder from the utility closet in the kitchen up next to the bed to make it easier for my husband to get in and out of.

My husband and I just spent a week at this cabin with our two dogs. What an idyllic setting! Ten acres of scrub brush and towering pines and gopher holes that occupied the dogs for hours of sniffing pleasure. There's a nightly horse parade through the front of the property as the hands from Eagle Ridge Ranch take the horses from the ranch to their evening pasture. The cabin itself is well-provisioned with cookware for preparing gourmet meals. While Island Park doesn't offer much in the way of grocery shopping, there's a nice supermarket at the west entrance to Yellowstone (about 25 miles away) and daily forays into the park are wonderful diversions. My husband spotted a moose outside the cabin, but fortunately no bears were in evidence. It was a lovely escape from the desert and the heat we experience in august in Phoenix. The real estate company (Collette Wilkes at Rainbow Realty) handling the property was extremely helpful and the cabin was well-maintained. It was truly a back-to-nature adventure for us. Finding homes which will allow dogs can be problematic, and sometimes the properties are not maintained as well, but this property was the exception to that rule. I wish there were more homes available to us like this one (our dogs are seasoned travelers who go with us everywhere).

The house is very nice. Great spacious kitchen with open floorplan to dining and living room. View is beautiful from the floor to ceiling windows.
The master bedroom is huge as well as the master bath.
The shared bathroom downstairs is very small.
Only a couple things marred the stay. The grass was so high it was hard to find the porch and there wasn't any chairs to sit out on the porch with to enjoy the outside.
The other big drawback was the lack of curtains on any window. The road is traveled by cars and without curtains at night it was uncomfortable going to bed.
My big thing was the dog friendly accomadations and that was lacking in my opinion. Yes there were ten acres for them to run around on, but you may not find them in the overgrowth,(which sticks in their coats and skin). They advertised a dog run. This was also overgrown.

This is the 2nd year we have rented this cabin for a week. We love it here. Cabin has everything you need. It is in a great location with trees all around. It is just perfect. We love coming to Island park and staying at Standing pine. And hope to be able to come back again next year. The cabin is close to everywhere we want to go and everything we want to see. We enjoy this place so much. Want to thank the owners for sharing there lovely place with us. The cabin itself is beautiful loved waiting up in the morning and looking out the windows which offer a great view. Looking forward to spending more time here in the future if it is still available. Also love the fact that the cabin is pet friendly with a nice dog door and dog run. Our dog loved wandering around in the woods behind the cabin. With us along of course. My husband enjoyed fishing the spot was real close to the cabin. Island park is just beautiful you will enjoy it. And made a trip to Yellowstone

This was our second stay here. The cabin and its location are beautiful and we will book it again next year. We have been coming to Island Park every year since 2000. I am from Pocatello and my sister and brother inlaw are from Vegas. The service from Rainbow Reality was friendly, welcoming and professional. Collette was awesome to work with!!
