Description
Our large and design apartment is on the 1st floor of a grand historical building in a peaceful street very close to Galata Tower which is one of the most historical, iconic landmarks of Istanbul/Turkey. It is placed at a perfect pivot for exploring this city. Cosy and boutique cafes, upmarket restaurants, independent design shops, galleries and wine cellars are all within walking distance. Our large flats welcomes large groups and families since 2013.
THE SPACE
The apartment is unique, characteristic, very well maintained one of the typical Galata Apartment. It is with original wall frescos, brick walls , heigh ceilings, wooden floors remain in their authenthic beauty with it’s historical ambiance and architecture.
The flat is thus decorated with some antique pieces complimented in harmony with today's furniture, with a creative and modern touch. Flat design and all creative design of sofas, chairs, lamps and tables belongs to me. It is a great honur to get instagram like from Ikea Interior Designer Henrik.

“Superb Location for this ultra chic De Res”
Myself and 11 girlfriends booked in to stay at these two apartments located a few minutes walk from the Galata Tower for a long weekend. Booking was easy with the lovely Evrim who was also very helpful organising our transfers from different airports. The accommodation itself is beautiful, the apartments are right next to each other and on the first floor so no mountainous stair climbing. Inside the decor is tasteful and chic, there were towels and toilet rolls provided which was very helpful and thankfully enough bathrooms to ensure there were no hold ups with 12 women getting ready! In terms of cleanliness, both apartments were immaculate. The location is great too; we were slap bang in the middle of a buzzing and vibrant street which interesting little shops that stayed open until 1am. Taksim (where we found bars and clubs at night) was about a 15 minute walk away; and the Galata Tower, about 2 minutes away where we found a great restaurant called Kiva (loved the cocktails there and the staff so much we went back twice!) The culinary star of the show was definitely the cafe opposite the apartments called Cafe Privato. Words cannot convey how much we enjoyed that place. They do an AMAZING all day Turkish breakfast which was by far the best I have every experience, so again, we became repeat customers; they even threw us in a discount when we mentioned where we were staying. All in all a great long weekend break in a beautiful country steeped in history and rich in culture. We shall return!
