La Dolce Vite is a classically beautiful apartment, located in the small town of Frinco, in the heart of Monferrato.
Frinco is dominated by a Twelfth Century castle standing high above the town. The property in which La Dolce Vite is located was once an ancient lodge of this medieval castle built in the Fifteenth Century. It features a solarium tower which looks across the valley to the tower of the castle. This position above the streets of the town offers La Dolce Vite a high degree of peace and privacy.
In 2012 the property was completely renovated by the owners, who live in a portion of the building. La Dolce Vite lies in the Seventeenth Century wing, an extension of the original structure. It faces into the inside courtyard of the property, an area which now hosts the communal swimming pool.
The south facing pool measures 6m by 3m, and is 1.2-1.5m deep. There are plenty of sun loungers, offering a lovely place to relax on a sunny day with a book.
Included in the price of a weekly stay is a four hour complementary visit to the small spa located in the old wine cellars of the building. Here you will find a Jacuzzi bath, sensory shower and a Finnish sauna. There is also a wine tasting room and tastings of the great regional wines can be arranged if booked in advance.
The renovation of La Dolce Vite has been carried out carefully and sympathetically, maintaining the spirit of traditional homes in Monferrato. There are wooden ceilings with ancient oak beams and traditional plasterwork, blending beautifully with the wooden floorboards and terracotta tiles.
On entering the apartment, you come into the living room, with a lovely open fireplace. Here you can cosy up to the warm glow of a flickering fire on cooler evenings. There is also central heating, chargeable at 4,50 Euros per M3.
Also in the living room is a comfortable double sofa bed, plus a large wall mounted 50” plasma television, DVD player and internet Wifi connection.
The kitchen is traditionally built in larch and stone, with a four burner gas hob, small oven, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. There is also a washing machine and dryer in a separate utility room, plus an ironing board and iron.
From here, a side door leads into a small bathroom with a shower, wash basin and toilet.
A brick stairway leads from the kitchen to the first floor. On the spacious landing there is a small sitting room with a single sofa bed.
The romantic master bedroom has a gorgeous four poster bed and wonderful dark wood furniture. There are twin windows overlooking the pool, plus a lovely little balcony with views across the main street of the town and the valley.
The modern main bathroom is equipped with a large double shower with hydro massage column. The perfect place to relax at the end of a long day! There is a wash basin, toilet, bidet and hairdryer.
Parking is available on the road outside the property, free of charge.
Near the house there is a clay tennis court and a stable for horse riding. There are many well-marked forest paths, should you enjoy trekking or mountain biking.
Within Frinco there are many wonderful restaurants and tavernas in which you can enjoy good local food. Should you wish to travel a little further afield, the museums of nearby Asti are to be recommended.
Whether you are enjoying a romantic break for two, or a holiday with family or friends, La Dolce Vite will indeed offer you a taste of ‘the sweet life’.
Please note, there will be a final cleaning charge of € 48, added to the rental period at time of the booking.TripAdvisor property ID 2388510...Read more

We arrived at La Dolce Vite to a very warm welcome. The house was lovely, and a proper cot had been provided for our son. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms are of a very high standard, and the bedroom was exactly as it is in the picture. The pool and spa are excellent, although the weather was a bit chilly for swimming. Alberto was a fantastic host, and our son was a huge fan of the "woof woof". Our only mark down was that there are no restaurants, bars or tabacchis within walking distance.

This accommodation of a large bedroom, terrace, kitchen, living room and 2 baths is as described and has amenities galore. Has a swimming pool a few steps from the door and the best was the private spa located in the "cellar." Has a hot tub, sauna, rainhead shower with aroma therapy. The owner provided candles, OJ and delicious sweets. He and his wife were lovely, accessible & helpful. The rental is located in a village of 500 called Frinco, about a 20 minuted drive from asti. If you want to stay among vineyards, you need to head south to alba. The rental is situated at the only piazza in town but the piazza is closed for construction. The castle at the top is closed too. There are no cafes or restaurants in walking distance but the kitchen is fully equipped & there's a supermarket 10 minutes away. We had a quiet & enjoyable 4 day stay here. Very good value to price ratio. I'd recommend it for a get-away. The place is nicely furnished and clean. Minor improvements would be a bureau with drawers in the bedroom and more mirrors including a full length one.

I have a wonderful time at this Bed & Breakfast.Have I met there with my family I have not seen for over 20 years and would like to miss a day of it.I was felt from the first second of belonging, like a big family. The rooms are lovingly furnished. Even the breakfast, it can easily compete with any 5 star hotel. There new friendships were made.In retrospect, it was my best holiday!!! I would love to go again immediately, for I have lost my heart to this beautiful place and the owners (Simona & Sergio). Thank you for everything!!! Grazie di tutto!!!

My stay with Simone & Alberto at the La Dolce Vite was heavenly. They even allowed my cousin from Germany to stay in one of the bed & breakfast rooms last minute. The apartment and the pool/courtyard was perfect for me and my family of 5. My children played in the pool most of the day or with alberto's friendly big dog. They ate breakfast with us in the morning and wines in the courtyard at night. They had a great herb garden that we were allowed to use to cook in our apartment rental. At night we would go up the spiral stair case to see the view and the stars.
Simone & Alberto took us to the local groccerer and to 2 private vineyards in addition to bringing us to dinner in the local village twice. The area is very quiet and relaxing. We took a few walks in the morning in the village where we saw the castle that overlooked our rental and a few WWI graveyards that were beautiful. The village residents had many rose gardens or beautiful garden in general that were nice to see.The apartment had everything that we needed for our 9 day stay. They even recommended some beaches for us to visit. It was like having a close friend to tell you where all the good places were to eat and visit.
I have recommended Feeling Italy to many of my friends already and I am sad that we had to leave. Simone & Alberto were so friendly and caring with our little kids & interacted with them daily. It felt as if we were leaving family when our vacation was over. I highly recommend La Dolce Vite for families with small children or as a parents get away. I will be back again when we vacation in Italy again.
Thank you Feeling Italy and special thanks to Simone & Alberto for making us feel as if we were a part of their family and home.

My husband and I were originally looking for a self catering apartment somewhere closer to the lakes, but after researching lots of places and finding that they were all really expensive, I decided to look a little further afield.
La Dolce Vite was divine. Our hosts were very accommodating (we arrived into Milan earlier than check in but arriving early was no problem) and friendly (as was their gorgeous - and enormous! - dog) yet at the same time, as we had already made plans each day we were there, we felt like we could come and go at ease.
The apartment itself was extremely spacious for two - it would definitely be comfortable for four adults, but a little cosy for more than six. The kitchen was well equipped, the sitting room had flat screen TV and Dvds, there was a balcony where we managed to get reception enough to watch Murray in the Wimbledon Final (!) and the master bedroom was simply beautiful - four poster bed with crisp white linen, mossie nets, large wardrobes and old wooden floorboards.
The whole place was spotlessly clean. The pool was lovely and the sun loungers around it meant we could relax in the evening sun after a day exploring in the region. The local supermarket was a 10 minute drive away - as we were self catering and my husband would have had to have driven to the local restaurants, we ate in most nights, although we did have a brilliant supper in asti one night which was delicious. We drove to Lake Maggiore one day, did a hike from alba to Barbaresco another and visited the beautiful vineyards of Barolo. Well worth a trip. We also did many walks locally in the area which was fun. Whilst we wouldn't necessarily go back here because we like to explore new places each time we go away, we would whole heartedly recommend La Dolce Vite to any friends and family looking for an understated, yet luxurious stay in Piedmont.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this rental and were very happy with the facilities and location. We were looking for a remote, quite place to stay that allowed us to feel at home and this definitely was it. Our hosts were fantastic and took every care to make our stay a special one.
