“Beautiful, eco-friendly, relaxing experience” What an amazing place. We were amazed by the attention to detail, beautiful design, and welcoming environment. We traveled with our twin babies and had an amazing time. The yurt is gorgeous and comfortable. We had fresh eggs in the morning from a very kind hen and beautiful star gazing at night. Great place to bring a family! We'll definitely come again.

“Unique and beautiful...heavy on the character...” I'm a frequent visitor of the 'ette. I love the location (right off the main drag) but enjoy its solitude (wooded median...long drive way). Its sort of like a studio apartment in the woods. its close to many of the wineries, The Red Newt and Stone Cat restaurants and a gas/quick mart. When Wine tasting its easy to swing by and change clothes/use the facilities/take a nap (comfy beds) and unload your recent purchases. The owners are friendly and helpful. The grounds are spacious with a nice walking trail. For what you get for the price its really a great secret. So why share a secret? I'm not there long enough or frequent enough to keep it to myself...like a cool song, I shouldn't be singing it alone (especially if you've heard my voice).

About Ithaca

Located in the heart of Finger Lakes region, the town of Ithaca has become one of New York's premiere year-round vacation destinations thanks to its large arts scene, world-class wineries, and historical attractions. Visit Main Street for trendy boutiques that regularly have bargain sales, or Martin Luther King Jr. Street for a variety of restaurants that are considered to be among the best in the area.

While you're in Ithaca, be sure to also make time for some of these must-see attractions and destinations:

  • Cayuga Lake: One of the largest of New York's Finger Lakes, the locals come here for top-notch boating, fishing, and camping expeditions.
  • Try the Wine: The Finger Lakes region produces some of the best wine in the country, and local vineyards like Six Mile Creek Vineyard offer regular guided tours and free samples.
  • Cornell University: Widely regarded as one of the top universities in the country, Cornell has a beautiful campus, full of stunning architecture, and offers free walking tours of the facilities.
  • Sciencenter: This massive educational center for kids features an outdoor science park, an early childhood park, and more than 100 exhibits.

Ithaca is home to several major universities, which means you're bound to find live music and speakers almost every night of the week here. In addition, there are several major events and festivals throughout the year that bring the whole community together. Sample some locally brewed beer at the Hops for Hope Beer Festival in May, enjoy live performances from the best musicians and dancers in the area at the Grassroots Festival in July, or celebrate Ithaca's proud history at the Ithaca Festival in June.

Take advantage of Ithaca's natural beauty with a vacation rental. Rent a beautiful apartment or condo within easy access of the hiking and camping options in the area, or book a luxury villa overlooking some of the many vineyards in the area.

There's plenty to do in Ithaca alone, but the town can also be used as a base to explore the rest of the region. The bustling college town of Binghamton and the popular city of Syracuse can both be reached within an hour by car.
